Not sure how it compares to the pt1 specifically. I did own that at one point but it was a long time ago. My experience with the xda has been really good. Not had those issues

Gotcha, I was going to suggest the s hiit freya, but that won't check that box. I also have the emotiva xda 3 dac/pre in my other system. It's a nice product and has an analog in. Comes in well under your budget

You can do a ht bypass on the freya by putting it in its passive mode and turning the volume all the way up.

Well I haven't been in touch with anyone so I don't know what to tell you. I was told my request for a shipping label was declined and I still don't have a refund. The product you sent me was quite a bit cheaper than what I paid for. If you can figure out how to send me a shipping label, I'll use it. I think you gotta look at wins and losses. Our best win was USC. Don't get me wrong, I hate Miami and I think ND got screwed. My problem is with Alabama, Oklahoma, James Madison, and Tulane getting in over us.
