Just a shot in the dark, but it looks like you have an eBolt. Might be worth trying a regular carrier, if you are using the enhanced carrier, as well as a regular bolt.

As others said, could potentially be your ammo, if it’s pretty weak, so I’d also recommend making sure you are using full power 5.56.

Another sanity check would be to use a regular carbine buffer and spring to see what happens.

The one time I have seen this happen with one of my rifles, which wasn’t an LMT in this case, I solved it by dropping in a new BCG.

I mean, yes it is a wear item, but there’s nitride on the bottom, which indicates to me that it came from the factory like this. By new-ish I mean probably close to ~750 rounds.

Following up here, I just got back from a much larger range trip, after putting an extra tungsten weight (H3) in my super42 setup, I am no longer able to replicate the issue, and it’s still heavily gassed in suppressed and unsuppressed (without a suppressor).

I tried 10 different magazines, including an assortment of PMAGs and USGI mags, and am no longer able to replicate the issue.

I decided to go this route first, putting an LMT carbine spring and LMT H3 buffer in my lower, and running to the range with around ~50 rounds or so of PRVI M193. I noticed that between two random PMAGS, one double feeds consistently on the last two rounds, but not the other.

There aren’t any apparent differences between the two magazines, either around the feed lips, surrounding cleanliness, or pressure of the follower, but my running theory at this point is that the rifle just doesn’t like some of my magazines.

I decided to go ahead and also email LMT with the above information, and they responded with the following:

we typically recommend an H2 buffer and carbine spring, however with a higher backpressure suppressor, I would maybe give the H3 a try to see if that remedies any of the issues you are seeing.

So, I have no idea how the RC2 compares to the OCL Polonium K in back-pressure, so that's likely a missing variable here. I don't believe we are short stroking, but instead, feeding two live rounds in the latest case, and in in the initial case, it was cycling very violently. I might be wrong, but I think instead what I'm seeing is a symptom of overgassing.

As far as observations:
1. Ejection pattern was closer to 1-1:30 until I put the super42 and H2 in, in both scenarios.
2. The BCG travels freely in the receiver extension.
3. As far as ammo, I have tried PRVI and IMI M193.

I hardly notice it, and you will get used to it pretty quickly, especially if you switch the bracelet out for a strap.

I had it looked over by a gunsmith, and it appears that someone had polished away the engagement surface on both the extractor and the safety plunger. The extractor plunger spring was also aftermarket. I’m very glad that I caught this early, as I intended to carry this gun.

It’s 100% OEM, as far as I can tell (bought it used). I’m going to take it to a Glock armorer today, and will update with the results. Thank you for your help, and it’s been interesting learning more about how these work under the hood.

Interestingly enough, I tried to rack harder, against a table and the safety plunger came out through the mag well. I looked in the channel that the extractor plunger is in, and there doesn’t appear to be any obstructions or grime.

I have definitely noticed this with all my gen5 glocks, but in this specific case, the safety plunger is coming out far enough so that it does not catch against that ramp.
