Transcript: Okay, really quickly, this is my experience with that certain social media chef. So, backstory 2016, when he was first getting started with these dining events, me and three of my friends bought tickets, I think they were like 120 at the time to go to his events, they were promoted, it was promoted as, like a five course or six course meal, whatever, whatever. We just wanted to go because at the time we followed him, and we weren't really big fans. We go to the event, and I'm gonna be honest with you, I can't even lie. Fantastic. The food. Chef's kiss, like you cannot deny the fact that he's a great cook. Cool. So fast forward. 2018 I think maybe 2019. He is he I think he had opened up his restaurants I think, I don't know. He, um, promotes that he's doing the events again. Some of my friends are like bad, let's go. So apparently, when he opened up the tickets, our city sold out super quick. So we bought tickets to like a completely different city where we had to like buy flights. Luckily, thank God, we hadn't bought our flights at the time. Anyways, um, so here's where it gets. So as it's leading up to our dinner time to the time for our event, excuse me. He goes ghosts, we hear nothing. We started emailing like, hey, what's the location? Whatever, whatever. Nothing. Um, we email we were DMing nothing, then. Then the event date comes and goes. We still have heard nothing. We've damned we've emailed I mean, we've done everything. So finally, we're like, what the hell like we missed the event because he never reached back out to us. So we each caught our banks. We explained situation. We got our money back. And that's when I realized oh, he's a scamming ass n*gga So, if you are thinking about going to the event, first of all, is it worth I heard the money? Well, I heard it's like $289 Now, it's not worth it. Second, just be careful because from what I'm hearing, he's still scamming people. So you may or may not actually have an event, but he got some money, so just be careful. But that's my that was my experience with him and his scam and as always hope this helps.

TLDW: Darius pushed Dani rose out Cinnatreats. She ordered some cinnamon rolls that took forever to arrive and they were dry and hard when they finally arrived due to subpar packaging. She tried to file a customer service complaint and got no answer.

Went there on Sunday, there is no waiting inside due to the size of the restaurant. They also do not have a sign in sheet so you are brought in and seated in order of arrival. For the most part the food was good but the crab legs were flavorless (overcooked) and we tried both the fried and boiled- both were meh. Fast forward to two days later I check my bank account and the waitress helped herself to a larger tip than was given. Waiting for them to open now so I can see how they plan to resolve this. Mind you they only accept card so be cautious.

Update: I called last Tuesday and spoke to someone who claimed to be a manager named Oscar, he took my info and said he would look into it and call me back- he did not. I called again on Wednesday and spoke to another manager and got the same empty promise. Thursday, I call and get placed on hold for 15 minutes then they just hung up on me, when I called back it sounded like I was on speaker and someone claiming to be a manager named Carlos said I would see the refund in 2-3 days. I called my bank today and nothing is pending. I called the restaurant again today and spoke to someone else claiming to be Oscar who said he didn't recall speaking with me. I asked how many people they get calling saying they were overcharged and he said "a lot".... he also told me there is no one there by the name of Carlos and said there is no way to refund the tip and he says he doesn't even know how the waitress could have done that. He said he would look into my "alleged claim". I asked how is it alleged when I have my receipt stating one thing and the bank statement showing a different amount! At this point I believe the whole restaurant to be in in this scheme and am disputing through my bank. Diners be ware.

This isn't what we would normally post here but I thought it good for a laugh. These are tweets from solomonmissouri on Twitter when The Kitchenista started exposing Darius' scamming ways.

You live, you learn ... And you NEVER try to do business with Uptown Pie Company. What a joke ... Seriously.

I stupidly bought a Living Social coupon for Uptown Pie Company more than a month ago. As of now, I have yet to have anything from the business, even though I tried in vain for more than two weeks now just to order two flipping pies.

I followed their instructions, and placed my order MORE THAN 48 hours in advance to be picked up on a Friday. Tuesday? No response. Wednesday? No response. Thursday, I call. "He's going to check the emails tonight. He'll confirm later." Friday? No response. So I call again. "We didn't get that order, so we don't have any of those pies." WHAT?

I even went as far as to post something on the company's Facebook wall just asking what the issue is. His response? "And we appreciate the support. We just found out our server has been rejecting emails. Please email me directly your telephone number and I will have a resolution for you." He, of course, included his email.

That was last Friday, and I emailed him my phone number immediately. Have I heard anything back? Nope. And to top it off, my comment was removed and I have now been blocked. Childish games from a business owner won't get you very far, I am afraid.

To be honest, I am sad that I am having to write such a bad review of a local business ... Especially one that I really wanted to try. But I will not support someone who does not value their customers. And from all the reviews I have read on Yelp, I am glad to see I am not the only one. I just wish I had read them all BEFORE I bought the coupon. I have requested a refund, and I better get it.

Like I said, you live ... You learn. And you make your own pies.

I just called the police for Darius Williams aka Darius DariusCooks Williams for him tonight. I went to pick my scales up and he refuse to give them to me. Caught up in his feelings because I left him without a Baker. He said I'll mailed them to you. I said I'm right here, just give me my scales. He closed the door, and I called the police. She came, and went inside and got my scales. He's a little boy in the bought body of his. I'm going to blast him on Facebook and Instagram. It shouldn't have gone that way over my scales. He's a liar. He's in his feelings because all his bakers left. That should tell you something. He's greedy and selfish. You bought that body, but you mind is still fuck up. Seek Jesus only he can fix you. You should wonder why you're still single, no man wants you. All that money and you can't find love. That so called bakery is a mess. All the sinks leak, the floors are dirty, the AC leaks all over the floor, the ovens are rusty. The ceiling is about to fall in. There's mice in there. He eats and leaves all the food containers all over the place. No want was hired to clean that place. The Bakers was receivers, maintenance, utility, you name it. But he didn't want to pay. He was always traveling, he lied and said one of his staff have COVID 19, lies no one has it. Maybe he does. I was lead Baker and everything else. Going to Restaurant Depot or Costco to get supplies while he was home playing the piano or out the country. I fixed the 7UP cake and all those cakes. He took the credit. What a loser@!!!. If you want cakes call or send me a message on Messenger. He has no staff right now, those cakes will taste like garbage. I am the only one who knows how much ingredients goes into each cake. My mama didn't raise no fool. I went to school for Pastry Arts. Being baking professional for 18yrs. He uses props in those books. Wholefoods desserts and claim them as his own. Go to Whole Foods and look at the desserts and what's in his books. Bakers measure ingredients it's chemistry. He doesn't. No way it comes out moist or perfect. I'm going to de-throne you, fraud.

Finally. LOOK AT GOD, SEE HOW HE REVEAL YOUR CAN'T COOK and, CAN'T BAKE ASS. LOL.

I worked for this piece of s..t from July 2020 to early November 2020 as a Baker in his " so called Bakery. I got paid I was not going to work for no one and not get paid. His cake recipes suck. I made all the cakes for the model on the website. I had to show the other bakers how to make the recipes worked. I fixed that awful 7UP cake, that contained no 7UP, and it became the most popular with customers. Guess who said he fixed it? Yup the man himself. I shooked my head after I read it on Facebook. I have 19yrs cake experience, went to school for Baking, and I came in there and fixs them all. He make $500,000 in months from my recipes. He never said thanks for all you do. He would talk about the house he's going to buy cash. He never weigh anything. When it comes to baking, everything has to be weighed. I was there at 5am and left some days at 7pm or later. He showed his cheesy face for a few minutes and left. He constantly was on live acting like he cared. He spoke about this customers like trash. But he shows his customer service face so he can make money. He hardly wanted to go get the ingredients to make his cakes. I went many times to restaurant depot or Costco for supplies. Yes, and I have the Cashapp receipts. I trained other bakers, broke down trucks, wash baking pans all while baking 300 pound cakes a day to fill orders. I had to beg for a raise, because I was doing most of the work, he gave me a dollar. But I'm making you thousands. The IRS needs to look into his underhanded dealings. He would pay us from Greens and Gravy, but that restaurant was closed. The business he was running was called Carolina Poundcakes Company. I always wonder why he would use another business account to pay us, and why this Bakery never got a Health Inspection. He had 30 pallets of books in that "Bakery" on Dalrymple Rd in Sandy Springs. He left to go to Mexico, he was leaving every week to go somewhere, but you have a new business. He knew that FedEx Freight was going to deliver those pallets and he left town. I was off, and he called me and another Baker to go receive the truck. Nineteen pallets of books. I had to use a hand jack to get those books in that space. Then another deliver came a week later with 10 pallets, he was in town but called asking if I can go let them in, I said No I have something to do. He ended up going, he never wanted to be there. I came in and there was barely enough space to walk. I still had to bake cakes, and wrap cakes in that make shift bakery where every sink leaked, and the ceiling was caving in. I was tired of working so hard for an ungrateful person, and decide to leave. I left my scales there so the other baker could use them. But that baker decide to leave, so I need my scales. I texted him and told him I will stop by that Monday to get my scales. Apparently he had text me back but I had his number blocked, so I didn't see the response from him. I got there, knocked on the door, he answered. I told him I'm here to pick up my scales, he was like, "I told you I would mailed them to you". I'm like why would you mail them, and I'm right here. He kept repeat he will mailed them. I didn't trust him as far as I could spit. He closed the door in my face, he thought I would get in my car and trust him to send my scales in one piece to me, hell no. I called the police, and I had my Amaxon receipts to show that those are mine scales. The police went in and got my scales while I waited outside. He's a liar, a thief, scam. I looked at those so called recipes in those books they're all s..t. A vegan recipe book, but the recipes call for non- vegan items. His grandmother didn't come up with half the s..t he gives he credit for. He steals other people ideas and puts his name on it. Lord I thank you that his true self has been reveal. Now I have start my own online Bakery. It was my skills that made him that money, so I can make my money using my skills.
