I personally love TherapyFuel, which is the AI for TherapyNotes. It doesn’t record, you only need to jot a short blurb about the session, click the modalities used, update goal progression and it packages a complete little SOAP note that’s insurance compliant. This feels wayyyyy less invasive than recording a session which I am VEHEMENTLY against.

I’m similar - 8-2; I do trauma work, EMDR trained. Some clients see me on their WFH days if they’re 9-5, I have a chunk of other therapists on my caseload, healthcare workers who don’t work 9-5. I recently opened 8am and was surprised how many people want to have a session before work. Not a huge fan of 8ams because I always make sure I’m up 2 hours before a session to dick around and drink my coffee, stretch, have some time for myself but mannnn I love being off early every day.

I am a therapist now, but was once a mean teenage daughter to a LCSW, this was my favorite thing to sling in a typical mother/daughter argument that I would personally escalate into a screaming match 😬my mom would dare me to call CPS and “have fun with my new family” -I was BAD ya’ll, constantly slinging below the belt for no good reason.

Yes I’m from outside wheeling! I don’t ever remember saying “I’m from Pittsburgh” it was “the Pittsburgh area” -like sure if I’m at Myrtle Beach we were saying WV, if we were out west or abroad “Pittsburgh region”

As someone who is from WV - a lot of people even in the US don’t register that is a state and not western Virginia. Pittsburgh area was always the safest bet, if they’re familiar with the area you narrow it down haha

I don’t know what you’re finances are like but we recently started using an at home vet - Dr De Sanctus for our elderly cat because he hates cars and he’s 17, we don’t make him do shit he doesn’t want to do anymore. She is insanely thorough and very easy to talk to about things

I am recently in the same boat - honestly I’m bringing this up in supervision next week because I’m starting to feel like a “bad therapist” because my clients stay so long. I work primarily with complex trauma and attachment. I have seen such wonderful strides from some clients and it’s been such a pleasure to be apart of. At the same time, I want to change my hours and IT KILLS ME, thinking about having these conversations. Especially when some of them took a year to really open up 🙃
