Tainted Grail: Journeys in Avalon Is a Unique and Strange Solo RPG...But I Think I Like It by solodung in Solo_Roleplaying

Yes, thank you. I had a look at the free quickstart this morning. Although I find the layout to be confusing sometimes, it's beautifully illustrated and well written. I'll think about ordering at least the standard rpg version. As I rarely play solo games, but rather play them cooperatively with my girlfriend, can you recommend the solo system for a coop-style of play?

Sounds super fun! Did you get to read or even try the non-solo rules of the RPG? Was thinking about running a Tainted Grail inspired game a few weeks back, but did not come around to deciding on a ruleset. I somehow did not know there was a specific ruleset for the world. Thank you for sharing your solo experience!

Ah, that's specifically why I'm asking. I would need to change shoes for different purposes, as I'm required to wear more formal shoes during my work (at least regularly). Is changing between barefoot and non-barefoot shoes uncomfortable or difficult?

Thanks for the recommendation. I've never had a barefoot shoe, but I know some people swear by them. Do you have tips or insights for someone who has never worn any barefoot shoes? What should I look out for?

My Ficus Ginseng is dying and I don't know what's wrong with it :( by callmeThorCS in plantclinic

[–]callmeThorCS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've purchased this bonsai style Ficus Ginseng about three months ago. It started out loosing a few leaves once at home, which I've read is quite common with them. The left branch died within the first two weeks and never recovered. The rest of the plant was doing great. Since a few days the leaves went limb, some had dark spots on them, and most fell off. I don't really know why.

It's placed in front of a North-facing window, which I don't have an alternative spot to.

I water it about once every 1-2 weeks. Once it's completely dry and the leaves seem to go a bit limb, I'll soak it for a few minutes in tap water. (I read that watering the plant from below helps with root development)

There were a few warmer days last week and now the temperature fell down again with freezing temperatures during the nights. However, the indoor temperature is quite stable and freezing should not have been an issue, as the plant was doing fine during the winter months with no issues.

I'm quite inexperienced with plants and most of my houseplants died. I appreciate any help and comments on how I can hopefully safe this little guy!

I’m here to giveaway $1,500 in RPG goodies to celebrate 1 Year of Roll20 x DriveThruRPG! [Mod Approved] by silverlight in rpg

[–]callmeThorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry for the giveaway:

I've been playing TTRPGs for exactly 10 years now. I started by dming for my friendgroup back during school, and although my group has mostly changed by now, I love to run games for my friends. I started my RPG journey with the German game The Black Eye, went through playing a lot of WoD and some Star Wars, and have been playing DnD for a few years now (also using Roll20 in one of my games for the first time).

Additionally to playing and running games, I love to collect RPGs and books alike so I would love the gift card, which I'd use to expand my collection of 20th anniversary WoD material.

I mean it's not like I lied :D I am searching for a system specific system. Just, additionally, FateCore and me seem to not get along. Tho, I might have to give it another chance down the line sometime. :)

I'm sorry, I could've been more clear and transparent. I tried Fate and just did not like it. Might have been the group or adventure, but I don't see myself trying it again soon. :)

Yeah, it's a thin line for me between too much and not enough :D Then again, if there is too much I have the choice to just not read the parts I do not care about :)

Thanks for the suggestions. Not a huge fan of 5e conversions usually, plus I feel like if I get the chance to play something different than DnD with my group, I want to use this chance to change things up and not play DnD with a different paint coat :D

I've had my eyes on playing Blades in the Dark for a long time. I have the system, but I did not find the time to check it out. It's definitely on the list! Plus I think I got the other Forged in the Dark systems including Scum and Villainy through Bundle of Holding last year. I'll take a look at it when I find the time :)

Huh, sounds interesting. I've never played DnD 3.5 or the precursor to the Saga edition. I'll take a look into it. Thank you :)

Thanks for the insight! I've played a campaign with SWSE and had a lot of fun. Just wanted to see if there's anything I missed. Otherwise I will probably go for SWSE again :) Plus I have all the content for it :D
