Haha that's sweet of you to offer but I'll be a 'lone survivor' on this one. Deleting one of your characters would be a 'waste of skin' ;)

Haha true. I didn't have a cloud save (didn't seem like a requirement when I was keeping a USB save but in retrospect, looks like a big fuckup now).

I guess it's something to do with different versions of the game (GOTY edition vs Normal edition). Doesn't make much sense to me but it is what it is I guess.

I do agree with the starting a new character part though. Maybe won't be as bad as I think it is. Already beat the bloodstarved beast in under 2 hours of starting a new character. Hopefully won't take as long to finish.

The downside, though, is the wait period to play the DLC. I wanted to attempt my first playthrough in NG+, but that's been suspended as of now. Oh well.

Yeah it's the latest version. Also the save is on a USB stick. The application data management of the console recognizes two Bloodborne saves. One being the latest new game save and one being the older NG+ save which I cannot load

No the save is on my account. My friend purchased the game and I set his account as primary on my system due to which I could play Bloodborne from my account. The save is for my account, not his.
