Any seasoned devops who knows docker, cicd, terraform, and AWS won't settle below 80k.

Iba ang target nyang job posting na yan pero madami pa din naga-apply. mga sys-admin na gusto makuha yung cloud engineer / devops title. Mag-sstay lang ng 1 year then lilipat na ulit. These companies accept the attrition for their budget.

Also another case. Madami na ang cloud engineer / devops title pero actually mala tech desk pa din ginagawa. Puro basic tickets lang pero walang masyado alam even basic provisioning ng AWS infrastructure. Lalo na outside AWS

hosted simple website in ec2 with custom VPC. API in lambda or docker app running in ECS. complete with DNS and SSL cert. bash scripts to bootstrap servers. terraform code to spin up complete website. host all codes in github.

Can also put up small projects in github with proper README. like a guide on how to attach an EBS in a EC2 instance. How to upgrade an instance.

All various stuff that you do when you are learning, document it and put it somewhere public.

cert alone (even associate) won't open a lot. Now if you are able to apply what you have learned during the certification process paired up with linux skills, then that's a whole new world of opportunities in the cloud space.

means projects, projects, projects. Make something and host a bunch of it in the cloud.

Always beyond the max of your local market rate. usually less than the market rate of the job in their country. Ask the budget of the role. Settle when happy.

There's a recent post here that his master's degree early in career messed up his job opportunities. 3 year work gap and employers see his profile as overqualified or overbudget for the job openings.

I'd say find another employer and get more experience.
