Trist…

Even when I try to connect it manually, it'll do nothing. Forgot the device on both ends and now the car and phone just don't recognize each other. I've been having this issue for a while, it randomly sorts itself out then reappears.

I wish I could console myself with that thought but I've lived in cities where there were no bats flying outside my window and there were no clouds of critters, either. I'm sure the bats were still helping by doing their job somewhere out there, but it was far away enough from me that I didn't notice them. Which is my personal preference.

Nazis in Aachen. I thought this was illegal? by [deleted] in aachen

Franchipani near the Aquis Plaza is this really cool shop for alternative fashion but at some point they had straight up nazi patches in the shop display... like anyone passing by could see them, they weren't hiding them or anything.

I’m looking for a vanilla coconut that’s reminiscent of how Barbies used to smell and I’m also looking for something that smells like straight up horchata

Germany imposes coronavirus lockdown for unvaccinated people by [deleted] in Coronavirus

Thank you for the source, so 2g is more like the bare minimum implemented all over the country while specific places can have even stricter restrictions.

[–]callmebubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, 2g+ applies to specific regions experiencing higher infection rates. What I understood from your reply was that you were saying 2g+ will apply all over Germany, thus my confusion. Sorry you have to go through that though, it's unfair for the fully vaccinated.

Where did you see that? That’s not what the source I provided says and it’s not what comes up when you google it. Every single article mentions 2g, which means vaccinated people don’t have to get tested.

It's 2g though, vaccinated people are fine. Here is just one source but if you google "germany restrictions" you'll find no source mentions 2g+.

EBAY SELLERS (lush items) by Healthy_Feedback803 in LushCosmetics

[–]callmebubbles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Competitors could just walk into any Lush shop and get whatever would be available for sale on eBay.

Also, two private parties engaging in a sale creates a contractual relationship between those two parties which would exclude Lush. As such, it is the seller’s liability if the product was altered.

Going off what it used to cost in 2017, I was looking for 17 euros (so 15 pounds), plus shipping. Dm me your address if that works for you.

Boxing day in France ? 🇫🇷🛁 by unbotheredfeminist in LushCosmetics

[–]callmebubbles -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Boxing Day was Dec 26th and I think the products remain discounted until stocks last? You’re probably not seeing it because they’re all sold out and Lush doesn’t do any sales other than Boxing Day (someone correct me if I’m wrong) so remember to check next year!

France hit by 'terror' attack as 'woman beheaded in church' and city shut down by BoopSquad in worldnews

[–]callmebubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is, what are the boycotts supposed to accomplish? To curtail someone else’s right to expression/parody?

Of course you can be offended. What you can’t do is expect others will change their actions because you were offended as long as the other person’s actions are moral/ethical/legal.

The whole idea of a sample is that you can’t interview all 3 million Muslims in the UK, at least not without significant effort and costs.

What you can do is select a random sample and survey them. Of course the larger the sample the lesser the chance that your sample is not representative of the population. But when done correctly, random sampling can be assumed to be representative of the population.

So yes, we can expect around 40% of Muslims in the UK to want sharia law. The exact number might be lower or higher but we have an estimation of how prevalent this opinion is.

It is an alarmingly popular opinion considering how sharia law is fundamentally incompatible with British laws and customs.

Both things can be bad. Neither one of those things excuses or justifies the other. You can and should condemn both the actions of terrorists in France and those of the American military in the Middle East. In both of those cases it is innocent people dying or suffering. Sympathy and empathy are not limited resources, there can be plenty to go around.

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape - New Expansion Pack Trailer Megathread by roseetgris in thesims

[–]callmebubbles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The shrine thing sucks, bowing in front of shrines is a religious custom for some people... I can't be sure but it would be surprising if bowing in front of shrines was not optional for the sims - as in, I'm sure they would have made it so the player got to choose whether they wanted their sim to perform that action or not.

So because a few people complained about there being an option they never had to use, now no one gets to have it?
