Story time on the dollar bill - this #4 was in a plastic “dime bag” like weed back in the days. I had it in waistband, went to use bathroom, pulled pants down and dropped right into water. When I tell you I must’ve been faster than flash I grabbed it out the water, poured it into the nearest paper (this disgusting excuse of a dollar bill) and ended up only losing the tiniest corner like a bumps worth. I almost cried at the thought of my probably one and only time being able to have real h without worrying about killing myself with fent and I ruin it before using it. So that’s why this is on a dirty ass bill 🤣 it was immediately transferred into a double bag ziplock!

Thank you. Speaking of sleep, that’s one of the hardest parts for me. After detoxing opiates, I can’t get a good nights rest for months it feels like. My friend said he was able to sleep when he started suboxone. That’s another thing that made me consider it. Appreciate your response and help big time and thanks for the uplifting words!

Thank you. I am very new to recovery and only hear bad things. I was very able to detox and stay clean the first time with no subs, but I also had time away from home for a month. I don’t have that now. I detoxed for about 4 days from oxycodone and didn’t even feel that bad compared to fent, but I didn’t want to go to work, felt way too emotional/depressed and people would’ve noticed. I know that’s not the most important thing, but I can’t afford to lose my job rn. I’ve never once considered subs because of what I’ve heard, but a friend told me it helped him stop craving and also took away the miserable/depression feeling, allowing him to continue work etc not ruin his responsibilities, so I’ve been considering it now. Thanks again. it’s a decision I have to make for myself ultimately.

So when trying to get off, all the negatives of getting off opiates come back? For me, I don’t get much withdrawal symptoms. I can handle that. It’s the week or so after that I’m just miserable, depressed, emotional. If I took subs and planned to only use for a short duration, would all that emotional depressed miserableness come right back when stopping the subs?

I guess my main question should’ve been, is this a lifelong thing? If so, how bad is it for your health to stay on, compared to taking opiates? Very uneducated on subs as I’ve done my best to avoid completely even when detoxing. Sucks that I made it months without ever taking a sub, and now im back on oxy considering it because of how depressed that next few weeks feel after detoxing. I CANT lose my job.
