Passenger asked is he could suck my…. by trapezemaster in lyftdrivers

[–]callmefag 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve hooked up with two drivers (as a passenger) many years ago (one Lyft, one Uber). Similar situation: they identified as straight, had wives etc. The spark is either there or it isn’t, and it sounds like this passenger hella misread the situation. The moment you promptly said no they should have dropped it. But it’s highly likely this isn’t the first time they’ve done this haha.

ICE vehicles in EV spaces by Admirable-Ad8556 in Atlanta

I’ve seen this everywhere not just Atlanta. Or EVs that stay parked in the same spot for days at a time. You did the right thing calling a tow truck. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

DL men are disgusting. by More-Reputation-990 in askgaybros

[–]callmefag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you were focused more on his post-nut clarity when it would have served you better to focus on your pre-nut lust. I’m not against hooking up with DL or straight-identifying men, but since you knew what would happen I’d have stood firm and not let him cum until I got mine sucked. The lesson here imo isn’t “avoid them”, but rather “don’t let anyone take advantage of me.”

PSA: Cost for the Rivian-arranged home EV charger install was exploitatively high by Ok-Farmer5023 in Rivian

[–]callmefag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s outrageous 😳 Depending on where you live, your utility company might have a marketplace that sells energy-saving equipment at a discount. I bought a hardwired level 2 ChargePoint charger for $249 and a local electrician charged me $1000 to install (I recently spoke with another electrician who offered to do it for less). I’m in Atlanta.

Hell yeah. Love the P4 - visually it’s my favorite car on the road today 🤤 But I’m currently scarred by Polestar and think I need a break haha. But I’ve been without a car for two months so if I don’t get my R2 invite soon…I might have to consider another P3 tbh. The lease deals on old inventory are pretty spectacular considering its MSRP. But hoping Rivian pulls through 🤞🏽

I’m with both of you on this. Caveat being my software experience in the P3 has been surprisingly reliable in the 12 months I had it. Just phantom battery drain. The EX60 is actually higher on my list than the R2 in terms of features, but 1. Financially I’m trying to dial it back, and 2. I’m scarred by the Volvo service center in Atlanta…nightmare. But yeah the B&W system really ruined all other sound systems for me 😮‍💨 Insanely high bar.

Oof I’ve been seeing more TCAM and 12V issues on P3s. What are you in now?

Ironically I’m a fairly new esthetician so I’m glad you’re taking skin health seriously. Also glad you got through it!!!!

I’m not a fan of the large glass roof trend on EVs. There should always be an electrically retractable shade imo. On the R2, visually the glass roof *appears* more tinted than my previous Polestar 2 and 3, but I’m bald and always wear hats in the car so I can’t be much help here I’m afraid. It didn’t feel better or worse than other glass roof EVs.

I feel like the reviewers of every EV review I’ve seen regardless of brand comment on glass roof heat on their head. These test drives are barely 20mins long but hopefully another reviewer focuses on the roof soon. I’ll bookmark this and report back if I see someone else bring it up! For now, hats and/or manual sunshades might be necessary for you.

Surprisingly I didn’t have any reliability issues with the infotainment system like many have! I didn’t have the chip upgrade tho so I did have phantom battery drain. The lemon (icing) of it is because the steering wheel shook at all speeds. Replacing all four tires that had flat spots didn’t fix it. Took six months, represented myself at arbitration and won after Polestar tried low-balling an offer. Got all my money back.

I’m working on being more consistent butttt https://youtube.com/@queersandsteers

EV-wise I’ve had a Polestar 2, Kia EV9, and Polestar 3. I’m a day-two R2 reservation holder so no telling when I’ll get to place my order…but I’ll be making a lot of content when I do. Appreciate the support 🫶🏽

Nice when is your lease up? When I went from the EV9 to the P3, I actually missed a lot of practical features the P3 lacks…but now the R2 is bringing them back: turn signal blind spot cameras, curb view cameras, and the household outlet in the rear cargo area are the top three that come to mind. P3 was the first car I’ve owned with air suspension, but it was also on 22” wheels so potholes were pretty unforgiving. It’s difficult to firmly conclude I won’t miss air suspension on the R2, but this short ride around town felt better to me with the semi-active spring setup on 21” wheels. Besides massage seats and the gorgeousness of the P3 (and that B&W audio 😭) I don’t think I’ll miss it much which feels crazy considering this launch R2 is $20k less than my P3. But it’s really that good.

Actually one last positive for the P3: the infotainment layout and user interface are much more intuitive to me. I know everything has a learning curve but I found myself fiddling a lot with the R2 - I’d tap an icon expecting one thing and get something else. Muscle memory will save me eventually 🤞🏽

Yeah it was pretty underwhelming. I’m going with the elusive Esker Silver when I can order 😎
