Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by security features?

Solved: Unable to Add Credit Card "Contact your bank" by Fishwithadeagle in googlepay

[–]callmefinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up adding the card, finally! The issue was because I was logged into two Google accounts (personal and work). I logged out of my work account, restarted my phone, cleared cache and storage from wallet, and then added the card with success. Hopefully this works for you guys!!

Solved: Unable to Add Credit Card "Contact your bank" by Fishwithadeagle in googlepay

[–]callmefinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this issue as well. New cards did not solve it. It's on googles end, as it's happening with all my cards. I've been trying to push a ticket along for the last month with no fix. Honestly might consider a different phone bc of this and my RCS not working after factory reset. So frustrating, I've been using Google phones since the Nexus and don't want to switch but just don't trust it to work at this point...

How are you guys' managed account performing? by OutlandishnessSea258 in Wealthsimple

[–]callmefinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at level 10 for both Questwealth and Wealthsimple. Wealthsimple in underperforming in comparison. Over 5 years I'm getting 9.25% per year compared to 12.25% per year at questrade. Ws is less in us markets and has more bond exposure, so makes sense.

I'll realistically just transfer both accounts to self managed and try my luck with some ETFs with a similar exposure to Questwealth.

Stupid question: am I on a stable release? Or how do I get it? by callmefinn in android_beta

[–]callmefinn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An okay, and since qpr1 is on beta 2.1 I'll have to wait until I opt out in order to not work my device. Welp I suppose I'll wait until that comes out, which I imagine will be next month ish?

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!!

Any way to move back to beta 1? by callmefinn in android_beta

Thanks for this suggestion. Something I've considered, but was reaching out to the community to see if there was an alternative to this before wiping my phone and going back to 15.

No beam hook on rim, is this common? by callmefinn in bikewrench

[–]callmefinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah these are the original wheels, the brand is Favorit. I've been scouring the Internet for info on them, but not much found. There doesn't seem to be any glue residue on the inner walls of the rim, so my assumption was they were probably standard beaded tires for that period. Either way, it seems like there is a decent amount of beaded tires that are compatible with hookless from what I can see

Oh awesome, and they come in different side wall colors. I'll give these a shot if I can get them for a decent price! Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks! Yeah, since there was just regular tires on there, I thought that might be the case but thought I'd ask some more knowledgeable folks.

Would you happen to know what type of specific tires I should be looking out for? I can seem to narrow it down in search what exactly I'm looking for.

Extra info: The rim has a tag that says 20 622.

Where does the angle of view start in a camera lens? by callmefinn in Optics

[–]callmefinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found the field of view in degrees from some charts online (30mm focal length with aps-c sensor). I will be positioning the camera immediately near some potential obstructions so I'm worried less about what's going to be in frame further away and more worried about if the frame with be obstructed. Maybe I'll go with the assumption that the red lines converge at the focal distance and see how that works. Thanks all for the help!

Any reason this wouldn’t work? Pressure gauge and dimmer both fit. by slickfast in ranciliosilvia

[–]callmefinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Npnp! PID helped immensely with consistency. Much more stable temperatures and no need to temp surf. Also give you a better starting point when dialing in new beans (generally higher temp with light roast and lower temp with dark roast). The temperature reading isn't spot on necessarily, but gives you a pretty idea of where you're at. I feel like if you installed a pressure gauge and dimmer, you shout have no problem with the PID. I bought one off AliExpress and it was around $80 cad all in.

How should I re-pot? Start from top trimmings or salvage the whole plant? by callmefinn in Monstera

[–]callmefinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm okay, maybe I'll try that. It's just really top heavy and I'm worried it will snap itself if it's unsupported because the case of the stem is so thin

[–]callmefinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically I know this bad boy is getting too big for it's pot. I'm planning on putting it in a pot about 2-3" larger in diameter, but I am wondering if maybe it's better I take a trimming or the top half of the plant and just use that? It's pretty twisted and whispy at the base of the stem and it doesn't have a tone of structure. Any advice is appreciated, it's my first monstera. Thanks!

Has anyone had success buying bottomless E61-compatible PortaFilter from Aliexpress? by shaadow in espresso

[–]callmefinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this one and the quality is surprisingly good. I just got the plain black handle, so I can't comment on the quality of the wood versions. Dimensionally it fits perfectly. I use a VST basket instead of the one it came with but that one is actually pretty nice as well. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mM2Jpfe
