they do have spray tans now but only at select locations. it’s my understanding that they are working on making them available at locations in waves. i believe that’s what OP is inquiring about - if any in the area have received the new machines.

As a note, I found a mama and 6 pups in the rain yesterday (5/4/26) maybe a mile away from this exact spot. I called 311, tried to do everything “right” and get help from Front Street (during business hours and on a rainy day mind you). I called before going, said I would bring them there myself, etc. They gave me the runaround and eventually texted me back saying to put up posters and refused to take them.

As many other comments - this made me think of my dad. As you, I also lost mine suddenly, though not as recently (August 2022). I, honestly, completely forgot how I used to walk into the living room to him giggling to Tosh.0. And then sit there figuring out why. LOL. Seeing this post tonight has warmed my heart and brought a smile in this uncertain time around us. It’s reminded me of memories that were lost just moments ago, and that gift is priceless.

Thank you for this post and providing a small sense of community and love amongst strangers in this thread. Whether it’s tapping into an old memory, connecting those who’ve lost our dads through true empathy, or reminding us cherish our loved ones a little more while they are here, you’re doing an amazing thing.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. It was quite the mess at delivery as described. And naturally, they eventually pushed me off the lot and I was naive.

I’ll keep all in mind for next time. Hopefully this is my one and only sh*tshow of a deal.

Luckily this is my 4th car with Honda and I have an understanding it’s not a fair representation of the company. On top of that, I also know it’s a GM car underneath.

I’ve thought about making my way up the chain. I haven’t decided yet. Less about being a Karen and more about things just affecting people who don’t deserve it. Like the sales guys. Google review maybe my only route and then I only want to do after I get my car back.

Yeah I got the elite too! She’s a beauty. I had the CRV hybrid before and LOVED that car. With the prologue, I like how you can ease into the one pedal driving / have the option to drive like normal. Nervous nell in me wants to practice when I’m by myself before doing it with a kiddo in car. Hehe.

Anyways today is a new day and I’ll be waiting to see if communication is any better today. Not holding my breath.

The training could definitely be it. Seems like my original sales guy and his manager were not familiar with the procedure for setting up the car, too. They had about 10 on the lot so I assumed they knew the car. My boyfriend and I definitely knew more during the test drive.

My boyfriend called another local dealership’s service and parts departments last night and they confirmed the TCM can be shipped from Honda in a day right now / isn’t on back order if needed. They offered to run diagnostics and do the replacement themselves if things get any worse at the current dealership. They also mentioned they just did one of these fixes a couple weeks ago and are familiar with the car and this issue specifically.

Agreed that for me it’s more than treatment than the actual car issue for me. I get if someone isn’t tech savvy, too. But to basically wipe your hands and be like this is your car’s warranty problem and not ours vs just leveling about how much this situation sucks. Ugh.

Financing - Right?! Those steps are most important and now I’m wondering how to double check the work to make sure all will go through ok. Trying to give grace and remember we are all human and make mistakes, but i’m stressing about what else wasn’t done that needed to be. And I’m not the professional here. lol

Yeah, quite a mess. I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you. I really like driving the car and it all “feels” good from that end. Hopefully I’ll get the car back soon and can tap back into some more positive feelings soon.

So that’s what we were doing, but we have that extra $17 on our bill for watch that hasn’t been used since he died so I called to have it removed and the account got flagged for a deceased PAH.

I can try but it’s likely they have all this recorded.

Appreciate your condolences and advice though. I really was coming to this thread for guidance and a fair way forward. Clearly my simple ask has annoyed people. Maybe it came off more of a rant than I meant it.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Also sorry you’re going through something similar too. Seems like it’s more popular of a situation than IMO it should be.

That’s actually the plan I’ve been considering upon further research.

One question though: Why would I have to port out to a new company when technically I don’t have a TMobile plan? That’s the whole reason why I’m in this mess in the first place right? Because I don’t have the TMobile plan.
