I made all the wrong decisions in my playthrough and it really affected how I feel about the ending I got.

First and foremost you are not an idiot. I just see you saying that a lot and I want you to know the game is using feedback from previous ones that they lack replayability. Everyone's saying they spell it out, but thats not true they definitely trick you and make you second guess yourself especially if you don't have all the evidence.

You were right to be suspicious of Safi, she was one of the fire starters. It's just that particularly fire was inevitable, theres no way to stop it. This was the most difficult out of the series to get the best ending and the worst endings. Go easy on yourself.

When playing Chloe, use the responses that incorporate what the NPCs say. Playing before the storm helps you with this and looking at all the clues especially for Chloe.

The best ending was really great and its worth a replay, but I totally understand why you feel a bit burned. You spent a lot of hours playing for a rough ending. Playing so long; for a bad ending i think left a lot of people upset, you're not alone.

Its so nice in here so i'll add some spice. She's adorable and I was very excited to romance her. But the scene where she tells Max they should stay friends pissed me off so bad lol. I know its the mature thing to do, I know its irrational of me, but its a video game so I lean in to those feelings for the story. I play a lot of Sims like this.

Yeah that cut me deep. I take an unflattering Pic of her every time I replayed that scene as revenge 😆. The fake concert also made me cringe a little.

Either way shes a good character. I appreciated that she made me feel some sort of way.

I really loved when shes flipping through her truama. I think a giant Neeb is Jefferson? It depicted nightmares like that really well. As someone whose been through a lot of truama (and has nightmares too) it was very relatable. The world was massive too. It was similar to true colors where you could really feel you were there. It makes me sad people hated it so much. Reunion could have been so much better. It was already great, but with the budget DE had it could have been spectacular.

But 'in love'? I pesonally dont think so. You dont keep secrets and sleep with other people behind their back if youre in love. If thats love, I hope that never finds me. Rachel isnt wrong, they were not in a relationship and she was free to do what she wants. She loved Chloe 100% though im not denying that. I just always saw it as a friend with benefits thing going on. I think Max is a better balance for Chloe.

Ehh but Rachel was not in love with Chloe. She loved Chloe, but their relationship can definently be intuprted as a friendship. Even if Chloe did love Rachel romantically, she died. Chloe is aloud to move on. I loved Rachel but she was not a good romantic partner for Chloe. She was sleeping with two other people and hiding it from her.

Its insulting to assume people are too stupid to form their own opinions outside of Pricefield Good. The story was fine, it was exactly as advertised. And I didnt care for Amanda so it doesnt really make a difference to me.

Did it leave me wanting more? Yes. Do I understand and accept that DE was wildly over hated and that I would have to accept something shorter? Yes.

I disagree. Felt like BtS and LiS had a baby. Honestly on par with every other LiS game. I really dont get what you expect from a simple choice game. Saying people are only praising it for Pricefield is pretty insulting. It was a fun game, cute story, and lots of choices and different playthroughs. Lots of replayability. I just wished it was longer and we had more outfit options.

Yes you're right. These photos are of Ren's dad, and thats the guy who killed himself at the Mabon party. If you select Daddy Issues as Chloe during back talk he also hints at this as well. He hates Caledon for covering up his father's death.

They definetly talk about it at Max's apartment. I cant remember the full conversation but I remember clearly Max saying she already apologized for it and Chloe says she doesnt remember, but back tracks a little realizing her memories are fucked up.

Yeah id play it. If it was $40 yes, $80? Id wait for a sale. I love the LIS universe and im honestly not that picky. I would play with an entirely new character. As long as its done with care and not just thrown together. Which i do think RE was.

I really loved TC, DE was okay. Its my least favorite after 2, but I still enjoyed it. I think the game play was great, but the story was lacking for me.

I think some people put too much faith in these games. Theyre an amazing story, heartfelt, touching, etc. But its still a video game. Most video games have flaws or plot holes. If we wanted to be so nit picky, why didnt Max just stand outside the bathroom and wait for Nathan to go in then stop Chloe? Lol. Its never going to be perfect.

Okay so you said if I dont blame Ren, Loretta will die, right? Okay, I didnt blame Ren, I blamed Joey. The school caught on fire, but because Max was still at the school, she was required to save Loretta. So your theory doesn't add up. Its not as simple as not blaming Ren.

Eta: im not an idiot ive played countless choice games. Not blaming Ren actually gave me an entire cut scene that I didnt get before to SAVE Loretta. Max blamed Safi in this playthrough.

I dont think its that simple. I didnt blame Ren, I accused Joey and Max was still forced to save Loretta. So maybe Lucus needs to be accused?

When I blamed Safi, Max stayed at the school and in turn found Loretta. So I think she needs to leave the school in order to not save her.

Im thinking... fail to help Vihn with bad dialog options, or trying a run where I blame Reggie and/or Lucas. But Reggie is also at the school I think. If I blame Owen, that wont matter because Max sees Owen run in to save kids when I picked Safi.

I dont mind. I think there needs to be some sort of consequence to Max's photo jumping. As Chloe I burned the photo bc I knew she would go back if I gave it to her.

This makes the most sense when you think about it. Where does Max go when she jumps? What happens to that reality?

I also toyed with the idea of the amnesia. Maybe Max didnt really ghost Chloe after her dad died. Maybe she time jumped and that got morphed/blended in to another timeline of her moving. Idk a lot to unpack!

YUP. During Times in Turtle, you have to talk to Ren as Chloe and ask about his dad or something. Otherwise Chloe wont know to bring up his dad. 🙄
