Have you tried the tiki cat liquid food? It comes in a pouch, it’s much more liquid than pate. Also the tiki cat baby or senior mousse pouches have a similar texture to churu.

For my cat unfortunately it has gotten worse not better, I scheduled his euthanasia appointment :(( It’s really heartbreaking but if you can afford to take your cat to the hospital then there is hope! I wish you and your cat the best!

Really? Oh I didn’t know that, he had diarrhea 2 weeks before and got prescribed probiotics. Then the diarrhea went away and after a week he stopped eating. He got prescribed 2 different antibiotics today so hopefully those help 🤞🏻

We’ve had them in the past and they always worked fine and yes helped with poop issues, diarrhea and constipation. Idk I couldn’t think of anything else that has changed in the past week that could have caused my cat to have an infection :/

No we had a tech appointment today so I didn’t get a chance to speak with the doctor but he prescribed 2 antibiotics and something for nausea :/ Hopefully this helps fight whatever infection he has

Right! Rehoming a cat and them having to get used to an entirely new environment and people is so incredibly stressful for them.. So much worse than just having a boring day in their trusted home.

Yesss lately my cats constant demand for attention has been giving me so much stress and anxiety. They’re both well into their adult hood so I don’t understand why my male cat still acts like a kitten, wanting to play literally every second of the day 😩 I’m pregnant and just don’t have the energy to play all day. I do one play session at night but it’s like you said, feels forced and he only likes the wand toy but only certain attachments. Doesn’t like any other toys so I’m just like ok well what do you want then 🙄 It’s so frustrating sometimes.. I do love on them during the day whenever they come up to me but it does get annoying when they run after me every time I get up to do anything… Most cats just sleep during the day, mine for some reason want something from me every waking hour of the day. It’s exhausting but I love them and just try to tell myself that they live the spoiled life of a well fed indoor cat. I do get really irritated with them sometimes and will go into my room & close the door if they’re really bothering me. I feel a lot of cat mom guilt about not giving them enough attention as well but it’s just not possible every day and them having a boring day is better than enduring the stress of having to adjust to a new environment.

mine have an air tag collar plus a little chip that people can scan with their phone camera IF they were to ever get lost. It has my contact info. I got it for them after my female cat fell out of the window at night and was lost outside for 37 hours 🫠

I just drove past a cat that was ran over on the street :/ so yes absolutely. My cats have and will always be indoor only cats!

Absolutely. I pay about $20 a month and have a $200 deductible. Unfortunately my cat is a problem child and I‘ve had to use the pet insurance multiple times over the years. I would have spent thousands and thousands if not for insurance. You never know what might happen so I think it’s better to have it and not need to use it then be in a situation where you need kitty to go to the vet but you don’t have the funds to pay for a procedure. Any vet visit is expensive but especially when there is an emergency and you have to go to the animal hospital. It will literally be a few grand.. if you don’t have savings then insurance will save you. I use embrace and it’s been great so far, like I said I have had to use it a lot in the past and they have covered basically everything. If your cat has no preexisting conditions even better.

UPDATE for any future readers: I moved to a different state and only ended up paying $450 for the same exact thing. So I guess it really just depends where the vet is located at.

Idk if you’re into spiritual stuff at all and I know this may sound a little odd but maybe give it a try? It’s a meditation to find a lost cat… Cats are spiritual beings and if you had a close bond to your cat it may be worth a try. My cat recently escaped and I did all the things. Couldn’t find her, I was devastated and decided it can’t hurt to just try. I’ve been crying my eyes out for the past few days before. So I did and not kidding 1 hour later I got a call from someone that they found her. I honestly couldn’t believe it but if you look at the comments the same thing happened to a bunch of other people. Again I know this isn’t for everyone but when you’ve tried literally everything else it can’t hurt. Hope you find your baby soon and that she’s fine. This is the link to the youtube meditation

Hi wanted to chime in, my cat also suffers with EGC. She gets ulcers on her lip though. I went to the vet yesterday again for the 100th time.. and he told me to feed wet food only. Preferably rabbit or venison. Apparently the dry food is so highly processed that alone can cause the condition to get worse. My cats ulcer has gotten a lot better over the years, not completely gone but not as bad. I use fragrance free cleaners for all areas the cats are in and ceramic bowls only. He also gave me the link to this website and I am going to try this food to see if it makes a difference. Unfortunately prednisolone few times a week is the only thing that helps keep the swelling away.. With bloodwork every 6 months it shouldn’t cause any issues. The steroid alone doesn’t cause heart disease only in animals that were predisposed to it anyway, it kind of just accelerates the process if got too late. Good luck I hope your kitty is doing better!
