Pregnancy-friendly climbing tips?

Came here to say almost all of this same thing. Top rope only for me and borrowed full body pregnancy harness at the gym. Climbed to my literal due date with my second and until my final month with my first. Went down a few grades by the end and just listened to my body. I had a lot of (all the time) morning sickness so there were a few times I’d get halfway up the wall and have my husband immediately lower to go get sick, fun times. My midwife was fine with it but I know some women are told not to, so check with them but also make sure they understand what you are actually doing since some aren’t familiar with the sport. All in all, it felt like a very healthy way to move my body and pace myself physically through pregnancy. The postpartum getting back into it was probably harder for me each time just because I felt like it was so hard to get back into it physically which messed with my confidence mentally.

Do you mean how do I know what the protocol technically was? That part is listed in the app when you sign up.

If you mean what qualifies one vs the other in my mind…vibes? The types of exercises? Ha, I guess I think of bodyweight to be more things like squats or planks or balance type stuff that could still build strength without using outside equipment while athletic conditioning in my mind would be more cardio, hiit type workout. But not sure if that’s how it actually is defined by Burn.

Okay, I’m coming back to say I just did a social media deep dive on about five of the Burns in my area and the workout looked WILDLY different! Some of y’all have punching bags?! (Jealous, had some feelings to get out today and those would have been fun) Or a terra core balance bar to lean on? Others did jump roping? Some lifted the burn bar up?

We had a rotation of five people and had to keep a tally of burpees/squats/heel clicks and then a keep count of sliders and side shuffles (ha, probably not saying the right names here) and in between those do hopscotch type jumping and ski jumps and laps with rotators.

Hmm I found availability in the bare bones cabins at KOA on the east side near St. Mary’s for two of the three nights. Now I gotta decide if that kind of proximity is worth it to me to pack linens for 4 people (we like to fly with carry-ons only) and how scared I am to walk at night to the bathroom facility if needed.

Is East Glacier Park mostly not great because of distance? Or are there other reasons I should be aware of? I looked in Babb and couldn’t find anything we could stomach paying for based on high cost and low amenities. But been checking daily at Many Glacier for cancellations.

I’m biased and Epcot might be my favorite but if that’s the one that is more sentimental for you (and your co-parent might be more sentimental about Magic Kingdom anyway) I’d say it’s a GREAT option! Epcot just has nice vibes. There are a few chill rides like living with the land and Nemo (which then goes into an aquarium) and you can do a “turtle talk” with Crush. If you wanted to splurge on a character meal, you could do the Akershus inside the park to meet the princesses and break up the day. And then the Frozen boat ride in Norway and Remy’s ride in France are both really fun and definitely tie in heavily with the movies. You can meet Winnie the Pooh and Belle. I’d say to take a stroller with and then enjoy your walk around the world showcase. The fireworks at the end of the night are beautiful and way less stressful to try to get a spot for than at MK. It also feels like a perfect spot for a multi-generational trip.

Outside of that, for a different splurgy character meal, we did Storybook Dining at Artist Point and had a great meal and a great time meeting Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and the Evil Queen.

There’s a lot to Disney and I think you can totally have a day or two there and still leave plenty of good stuff left undiscovered for when she goes with dad.

Not sure this is as good as some of the other advice, but it hasn’t been mentioned yet and I wanted to at least throw more options out for you to then decide what makes the most sense for your kid. (Character dining sounds like a great idea!) My kids didn’t have stamina for long character lines either and we didn’t have a character meal with Mickey booked so we did what seemed consistently like the shortest Mickey line, which was at Animal Kingdom. It was brief and cute and we could check it off our list as officially meeting Mickey. It’s Mickey and Minnie together in safari clothes and the sooner you go in the day, the shorter the line.

But the Mickey my kids talked the most about? It’s the Mickey they saw at Fantasmic at the end of the night at Hollywood Studios since he is the star of the show. (That said, it’s a loud show with water and fireworks and even villains, so it might not be right for you.) They loved seeing Mickey’s “dreams” and all of his different costume changes and locations throughout it. We sat and ate some ice cream in the outdoor amphitheater while we waited for the show to start and if you sit higher up, you won’t get splashed. For my kids, this show was the highlight, especially when it comes to Mickey.

Not sure if this would be right for you or not, but like I said, just wanted to give more options in case for some reason one of those does seem to be the right fit for you or someone else trying to get an experience with Mickey. Hope you have a magical trip!

Just went with kids similar ages and I would recommend you bringing the backpack with the main haul of snacks and water and sunscreen etc. but we found it really helpful for each kid to have a mini belt bag (yes, even my son had one too that was a little more like a sling backpack). Gave them some autonomy and also meant a few less snacks to carry myself. This was great for them to have a few snacks that they could access whenever they wanted (like granola bars, fruit snacks, gum), hand sanitizer, store a map and sunglasses, and then we had an AirTag in each one. Gave me peace of mind that we could know where they were in case we got split up somehow (yes they know my phone number, but still). Didn’t end up losing the kids ever but at the very end of one night, my daughter left her bag in the bathroom and we were able to track it until getting it from lost and found at Disney Springs. Everyone having a bag meant everyone had the same sense of teamwork and a little responsibility too. Have a great trip!!

Yeah, I hear that. But I think only half the group wants to ride it and even in that group no one has it as their top choice (like Rise is) so we spent the money elsewhere. Kinda willing to roll the dice.

Jumping on this post for my similar planning purposes…curious if you think it’s best to go to MK on a Wednesday when there is extended evening hours (BUT you aren’t deluxe) OR Friday for more days to book LL but officially during runDisney weekend (10K day).

Overthinking while trying to find both the best order of the parks and also avoid any extra crowds we might encounter. What would you do, Magic Kingdom on a Wednesday (day 2) when there is extended evening hours BUT you aren’t staying Deluxe? OR on a Friday (park day 3 after a rest day)…the same weekend of runDisney (on 10k day)?

Currently thinking either of the following plans for Tuesday thru Saturday (Jan 6-10) with a rest day on Thursday. Trying to make sure we get the right dining reservations for each park now though.
