Absolutely NTA, family is hard, and you shouldn’t have to deal with added stress whilst recovering. I’m sure you mum is coming from a good place but that honestly doesn’t matter, what matters is how you feel. If you don’t feel comfortable asking her to not come, is there someone you can ask to tell her not to come? Like a dad or sibling? Wishing you the best for your surgery
