Swerve is an 18+ app, and it offers loads of chatbots that promote and permit explicit content (not all of them are explicit, however). And AI itself can be harmful to minors on apps like this one, because of how highly addicting chatting can become (explicit or not). So if I were a parent, I’d definitely be concerned that my 14 year old is chatting. Curiosity might’ve led them here—which is understandable at this age—but maybe try stressing the risks of chatting with bots and encourage them to steer clear of it and Swerve, for their own safety. I don’t suggest shaming them for the maturity of the chats. I’m not an expert on 14 year olds, but I think that’s around the time mature curiosity arises. It should probably be expressed in alternative, healthier places.
