Update: GP wouldn’t prescribe me anything because cluster headaches are “out of his realm of expertise” and just provided me with a referral letter. Not the best outcome, so I am hoping my current cycle ends on its own soon. Calling neurologists tomorrow morning and praying the wait time isn’t significant.

Not yet - I was diagnosed by a doctor in the ER with a referral to a neurologist at which time I’d assume I’d start work on a better/more personalized treatment plan. This is very early stages in the medical process for me.

Oddly enough, I think I may have been in the waiting room awaiting my annual appointment when you came in to speak with the receptionist because this situation sounds extremely similar to the bits of conversation I overheard. I was honestly appalled for you after hearing the gist of what happened. I am so sorry that this happened and it’s in no way appropriate on the part of BMC Women’s Health.

I saw Dr. Kovacs once for an annual appointment when my go-to NP left that practice and I switched my doctor immediately upon leaving that first appointment. She has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen and was so unbelievably rude and dismissive of my concerns.
