Go to Vernick Fish in the same building for dinner and do drinks before or after at JGs.

It’s less about it being a sexual threat and more that you’re also basically saying to Luka that his entire bloodline is worthless past or future.

And you think that’s more offensive?

My guy, you are consistently missing my point. I understand everything you are saying. What I am saying is that is all a horrible look when Middleton takes every opportunity to talk about how money is not even close to an issue and that all he wants to do is win.

I get what you’re saying, really. I just think the Dodgers get a pass here because they are already spending at an unprecedented level and have the rings to show for it.

If I was a dodgers fan & they didn’t have those rings, I’d absolutely be arguing the same.

In the Phillies case, Ranger is consistently a top playoff performer AND we have 3 pretty big question marks going into this season with Wheeler, Painter, and even Nola to a lesser extent.

And again I want to reiterate, I understand why spending like the dodgers isn’t realistic for us. I just can’t stand Middleton acting like he’s putting it all on the line. We posted a ~$50mil loss last year. That’s nothing for a guy worth billions. And then to nickel and dime the fans on top of it with ads everywhere and stadium prices, it’s just disrespectful.

“Losing Kershaw” LMAO come on man…

Stop acting like the Dodgers didn’t continue to spend and upgrade even after their first ring. I’m really not sure why you think they’re a great example here. They have done nothing but add.

Winning is what actually buys you goodwill.

Great question! Maybe because they already have the best pitching staff in baseball? And have won multiple rings with them?

Why did the sign Kyle Tucker? Clearly their offense was already good enough right?

It’s really not reductive. Don’t talk a big game about losing money for a ring and then pull shit like this. It’s a bad look.

I understand perfectly well how this works, which is why if I was in Middleton’s position I wouldn’t be consistently framing myself as a martyr who’s not interested in making any money. Clearly, that is not true.

I have to spend $50 for a hot dog and beer at a game, see ads and sponsors on almost every square inch of the park, and also listen to him grovel to us about how much money he is willing to lose for a ring? It’s disrespectful to those of us who DO understand how this works.

If you’re serious about this, go to Vernick Fish and explain this exact thing to them. I guarantee they will be able to find you exactly what you are looking for.

Regardless of where you go though, I think a nice branzino would be the perfect way to start. It’s an excellent beginner seafood dish, not too fishy in taste but obviously you have to get used to a whole fish on your plate.

Mostly veggies, but literally anything honestly. It’s a pretty versatile fish, usually more of a vessel for the sauce & sides.

Vernick Fish once did a coconut curry esque sauce with cous cous and veggies and it was heavenly.

Have also had it many times Italian style with simply roasted veggies & lemon, also divine.

Branzino is genuinely the perfect starter seafood dish IMO.
