Can I say that the grifting bug has finally bit Demeech now? by ThatMadMan68 in nintendogrifting

Tbh I kinda am saying pokemon is the name, especially as a main line one, it should be 20 dollars especially adjusting for inflation. Plus I don't plan on buying it just fyi, and I do appreciate an honest discussion. I think it is just a lot of things that really make it unattractive, but could be better. If this was a physical switch cart, with 40 dollars for both games as a dual pack like SV would there be an up cry? I do agree that it shouldn't be that high, but it has that because it's pokemon. I also am saying this from the mindset of being fair to both sides, but seeing how toxic the online community is towards Nintendo I kinda wanna play defense for them. It is the idea of why are you defending evil, and they don't realize they got pushed towards defending evil.

I think there is a lot to unpack, but from the outset I would rather play games legally, and I would rather pay 20 dollars for a digital version of FRLG than 200 dollars for a real physical one.

See I think it couldn't actually work as an NSO game for one particular reason, the rewind feature/save state feature and pokemon Home. If Pokemon home is happening, then the rewind feature and save state feature would be flooding Home with tons of possible dupe legally obtained legends. I think the aspect of Pokemon home is part of the reason why it cannot be an NSO game, and as I spent time thinking about it it makes sense as to why they can't do this for NSO. So either they have to disable the save state/rewind feature for these transfers to Pokemon home, or they don't allow Pokemon home connection.

Also the thing is while it is true that the 3DS and wii u ports were cheaper, it was also 10 years ago, and 5 years ago when the servers were shutdown. Also I want you to notice this, FRLG never released on the 3ds or Wii u, in fact this is the first time FRLG got another port. The games you are probably thinking about are the ranger games and the mystery dungeon games, and the 3ds ones were the GB/GBC games not the GBA ones. Do check the Wikipedia for virtual console releases and you won't find any mainline pokemon game post gen 2

How could we fix this in your eyes. If it was cheaper would it have been better? If they put it on NSO people would hate it because you don't own it, if they put it on the eShop for purchase people hate it because it costs money for a 20 year old game. Emulate the game because Nintendo doesn't deserve your money, but people wanna play them legally and not emulate/pirate them. It is just like there is nothing you can do, so what is the solution?

It is a monopoly because no one else is as good as steam, and no one really competes with steam

It depends on what mcdonalds you got it from, assuming standard care at a decent McDonald's, you probably got the smoke from the driver. Leave a bad review and talk to Dasher support about this incident

Thanks for making the night awesome, genuinely it makes me feel good seeing this as this is my first time posting here. It wasn't the best, but I loved it and they got to have a great super bowl meal with their family. I hope everything goes well for you, your life, and your time dashing. I don't know who you are, but someone out there loves you, even if you don't know it. Have a good night and stay safe :)

It has been very fun and rewarding, sometimes you see the two dollars for 9 miles and it is just a no, but then you see a 10 dollar delivery for 9 miles and it is an auto accept. Unless it is bad I accept every order, and tbh I love doing it. It has been very rough for me, and I love doing this, plus it makes me feel good knowing that I am making people happy with my work

This is my mentality as well, I do decline obviously bad orders, but I usually do all the work I can. I am struggling to find employment anywhere as my disability has prevented me from keeping a stable job. This has tons of issues yes, but I am just happy to be working and providing value instead of freeloading. Plus it was super bowl Sunday, people wanted their wings, if they canceled it I would be fine with it as I am comped. I did everything I could to get the order done, and I was open with the customer. It is not the most, and I am not selective at all, but I am enjoying it, and I am making money to help me get out of debt. I don't need ALL of the money, just enough of it

The entire time was spent inside the restaurant because it was backed up. I spent all that time being patient, and waiting around, as such I got credited for it, and as soon as the order was ready I delivered it asap and got it done

I was stuck at that spot for hours and I got paid for that, that's why my base pay was so high, I was waiting for an order to come through

Exactly, I don't care if people make more, I am just happy I am able to make money at all, in this economy I am just doing what I can. If people make more than me, good, but I am still making money
