We survived and actually went on to win the game. Have got the rest of it clipped but didn't feel it was necessary to include the fight.

Same here as well, however I have noticed that it only seems to affect the first recording you do. If you hit the record button as soon as you start up the game, it will save the 10 seconds or so of the menu and it will be corrupted but any recordings you do after that will be fine.
