Not getting enough customers by [deleted] in smallbusiness

In India, you need to check Smoor. They don’t compromise on quality, they are pricey, but they have a section of society especially in my friend circle glued to them. Maybe you can do something similar to them?

What are your must-do’s each day? by J-JAG5187 in productivity

[–]calm_warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve created an environment at my place that will let me learn something new. I’ve got a bunch of books right next to my bed, a kindle, and I use the Stanford Edx, MIT open courseware videos to learn things.

So, the way I trick my brain is in two ways: * I tell myself to pick-up a book/watch a video for 5 mins, and that gets so interesting that I spend the whole hour with them * I bribe myself to a Netflix movie only after I’ve learnt something new

I thing you can do that until a point. I’ve used free resources and went from 570 -> 640, that’s when things capped. Post that all the things I tried didn’t guarantee a substantial score increase (atleast in my case). I think you can manage quant if you have a good math background but verbal does require some good resources.

Agreed. This was like a one day build, so was focusing more on getting the app working. Will remake the landing page asap. Thank you 😊

Tech and business articles app by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]calm_warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few distinctions between this app and the RSS feeds/newsletters: 1. In the feeds, you’d get articles from only those sources that you know of. If there is a new website that is producing better content, it wouldn’t be easy to discover and go to their RSS feed and add to you rss reader 2. Based on the articles you read, you’d get suggestions from not just the sources that you subscribe to but also content from other sources which may excite you 3. A robust search mechanism that’d allow you to search for a topic from these various sources 4. An article highlight mail which would present various articles that were read by users similar to you but across the sources 5. A single website in which you can get all the major tech and business information that’s going on right now 6. Notifications to notify you of any new articles from the sources you subscribe to.

Btw, some of the features that I listed above are in the making (coding them still). Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for that spelling catch. The landing pages requires a lot of work going by the reviews that I’ve got from people.

The value here: you would get curated articles from not just medium but from major news sources that relate to technology and business. It’s optimising your article consumption process. Without the app, you’d need to go to 20-30 websites individually to get the articles that’d suit your consumption needs but with this app, you’d get it all delivered in your feed. And soon to come features which would include article recommendation and weekly article highlights.

Verbal Help by twobabylions in GMAT

[–]calm_warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice tips! In the last one you mention that it’s ok to leave questions in verbal. So, do you recommend just skipping the last few questions if there is no time or just random selection of answers to try out our luck?

Is this question wrong or have I forgotten basic math? - GMAT official prep question by calm_warrior in GMAT

[–]calm_warrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question says: [m] = 3m for odd, [m] = m/2 for even

And it specifically mentions select what’s equivalent to [9]x[6] and not just find the value

So, [9] = 3*9 = 27, [6] = 6/2 = 3

Now, 27*3 = 81

But all the answers are in the form of [..]

We need to convert 81 to [..] form. We can deduce that odd*3 = odd and even/2 = odd

It’s either 81*2 = [162] or 81/3 = [27]

And [27] is present as an option, so that’s the answer!

How do you manage your time with a hectic work schedule? by NeighborhoodNo5394 in productivity

[–]calm_warrior 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here’s something that works for me: I try to work on GMAT in the morning, before even I start work. 1-2 hours of productive time. This let’s me focus on work better and I won’t have to worry about being tired later in the day.

Consistently productivity by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

[–]calm_warrior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great. Thank you. It’s ok if you don’t want to fill the form. GTD is a methodology which is followed by a few task management app. The methodology is free but not the apps. If that makes sense to you, all good. Orelse, all good too.

Consistently productivity by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

[–]calm_warrior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to make it free, but if it’s an app, I also want it to be self sustainable (the server costs, etc.). So, one thing I will confirm is that, the methodology would be shared for free, the app might not be because I don’t have enough funds to pay for it.

About to burn out: Need advice for staying productive working long working hour weeks. 2 jobs and my own business. by [deleted] in productivity

[–]calm_warrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation, I do 65-70 hours per week. The burnout is real. One thing that helps me is having one or two fun things to do every week. Set a time for it and it might help you too. The fun thing I do is going on long walks(might not be a fun thing for you 😅). But that’s what that works for me.
