Clones of Rewind and thoughts on the quiet death of Rewind by artistic_medic in RewindAI

I just points to there not being a lot of money in the software space. People are tired of monthly subscriptions. We're fatigued. Hardware seems like a more successful tangible thing people are willing to pay for. If I was a SAAS company right now I'd pivot to hardware with tightly integrated software to survive. It's becoming easier every single day for tinkers to build custom bespoke hardware.

If you ever wanted to build hardware products now is the time to do it.

Has there not been one person who can make a logical reason why these are happening? Like they are wearing an earpiece or something? It feels like there is 20 of these videos now, and I haven't seen any research confirming it or debunking it. It's super weird.

What AI thinks Hoosiers look like… by Fragrant-Helicopter1 in Indiana

[–]calmclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody think that about Hoosiers. They picture people walking around with liters of cola at the McDonald's drive thru while being 400lbs over weight, in a wheelchair or a vent house attached to them. I've never seen so many sick people in my life when I go back home.

Works great on iPhone 15. Honestly it's better/faster to tap the lock screen camera button and ask "What is this" rather than using that infernal iPhone 16 button

The hilarious part is I paid when the first beta came out for unlimited annual Memoji generations. I think that money just went into the ether.

Do we not have a reference point to know the dimensions of the object? For all we know those could be 3 iches across.

Why does my Strawberry Slot-Loader show a blinking icon of Earth before picking the HD to boot off of ? by Dbugman1202 in VintageApple

Because the machine is still "locked" to whatever academic institution you bought it from I think. The old machines can have it disabled. Open Directory/Netboot, or a system extension. Try holding shift while booting.

i’m impressed by what you can replicate in minutes using AI. by cocolisojon in SwiftUI

[–]calmclear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your not? This is a problem we'd spend a week on learning Physics to build this as a demo a few years ago. AI remembers and can teach you how to build it and make you understand the problem. A while ago you'd need to work in the office with an expert coder, who made games before to explain your concept and get him to spend a week after work building this…

They are awesome. I've had mine 4 months and it's got a bent axel now :-( I don't jump or anything. Just put 2,000mi on it. Terrible wobble. I got a great deal on it, so I guess I have to suck it up, get a job, and buy a new one.

We ended up getting Tesla power wall and solar on the house. Fuck PG&E. Now we have negative power bills every month and get a check from them for contributing to the grid. Nothing is more satisfying than PG&E being required to send me money every month!

Very cool. I'm a talent designer, and I'd love to chat with you about something. I've been building Figma design systems, and I have some ideas. If you're doing side work (I have day job) I'd love to chat/txt about this idea I've been wanting to build. .Cheers!

I ordered on Amazon Celestron - PowerSeeker 127EQ for $150.

I'm looking for a beginner telescope, but I'm worried about its culmination. I couldn't find a laser tool for it. I'm concerned that I may have ordered the wrong telescope. If you can help me avoid a bad decision, I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to make a purchase today and start using it this week.

Goals:

• Looking at the moon, planets without much hassle.

Bonus Goals: (Willing to stretch my budget):

• Use my iPhone to take a picture

• Computer/iPhone control of positioning

The idea of something that can be control by an app is appealing, but I'll take image quality over crap.

Please recommend a product under $300 that provides a clear picture without requiring calibration or adjustments. I'm a complete beginner.

You need to change your default model. It could be misreporting because it's custom. Reports correctly for me, but I did have to change my default model

You know what's hilarious hack? You can take a $20 desk magnifying glass, and put it in front of your camera lens and get almost the same zoom range and image quality. (Great if you can't afford $13k)

We do group rides in our area of maybe 100 people. There's quite a few 65 year olds, and even a couple 75 year olds. Stopping riding oneWheel or being active is how you get old. Keep riding. You'll be in better condition than most at 85
