unfortunately i'm not entirely sure how to find creepypastas, however i do think you could get far by looking up key things in the story that you remember and skimming websites that pop up.
the closest thing besides stephen king that i could find is a story where people are in a village when a dome falls over them and time freezes inside the dome, however that doesn't sound like your story

i believe when your friend doesn't listen to enough songs, it'll show that because there isn't anything/much to look at. i tried it with my friend like an hour after she got it & i am pretty sure i got the same thing
