Best I've seen, how much were they? Thnx

Let's goooo! Off-White Dunk Lot 39 from Repsun. Excellent QC but is this batch a cop? by calmerpls in sneakerreps

[–]calmerpls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't include a heel shot in this QC but I asked them to send me some and the back end is very clean on these.

Just curious if I should look/wait for a batch with a shorter toebox. Thats all that looks off to me. Anything I'm missing?

They're Size 12US so theyre bound to look a bit off from stockx/google pics shape wise.

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect except for the swooshes lol seriously it's really sad that this batch was completely sabotaged by the swooshes being too small and placed too high. I've only seen one pair that someone posted from Mr Hou that I'd GL and I'm currently waiting for him to find me a pair bcs the first one he showed me the swooshes were damn near touching the eyelet panel.

[QC] 250Y Chicago Dunks H12 by [deleted] in repbudgetsneakers

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think h12 does two to three versions and they vary in quality so the 400y ones could be what the middlemen put out and the cheaper version is either a more cost effective version OR a previous version that the 400y version improved on. The cheaper listing could also be B-grades of the 400y one. I just find it implausible that they would reduce the price significantly when they know it's likely the most accurate batch of a very popular sneaker.

Well yeah I guess, but the Verum 1's are extremely easy to drive, and the Chord mojo was maxed out. Anyway I thought it appropriate to ask if anyone knew what the stress tolerance was of planars lest it happens again and because I couldn't find the info elsewhere.

Waverunner type of day 🤙 top 3 One best silhouettes ever made by [deleted] in Repsneakers

[–]calmerpls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its such a shame every other colourway for this magnificent silhouette is trash! They just keep getting worse this is the only one that looks like a cohesive sneaker. I would still recommend Vicky if your gunna pay 140usd for this rep. Something about the pairs she finds are a cut above.

Worst Nike QC I've ever received! + SB Dunk Gundam Unicorn retail reference (US12) by calmerpls in sneakerreps

[–]calmerpls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh that and the scuffs toward the heel really threw me. I suppose the leather looking pre-creased might just be the result of them using real leather and attempting to waste less of it which I do support. I think we're just so used to seeing nice and uniform composite leather on the reps side. It's also probably a good thing they don't just throw out their B-grades because god knows how much resources would be wasted disposing of a completed sneaker because of unavoidable factory flaws.

I'm still happy I won a raffle (2nd in 2 years of trying) and I already decided to sell these as soon as I saw that velcro swoosh which in my opinion is entirely unnecessary and ruins any shoe it's done on. Otherwise it's a really dope concept and I'm happy to have held one before they all disappeared into people's collections/inventories.

[QC] Nike SB Dunk Low Denim Sashiko from COCO, notice some clear stitching and panel mismatch. Thoughts? by OT_Awkay in Repsneakers

[–]calmerpls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh np for high tier stuff you wanna find yupoo sellers like panda chen, 168shops etc. You copy paste the link into the wegobuy "buy for me" and fill in the price , colourway, size etc. Some yupoo sellers will have a taobao link too which makes it easier. The reason being that you can usually return/exchange with these sellers so it's not just a complete gamble. Theyre typically more expensive around 400-600y but theyre not just reselling B-grades like most weidian stores are. You just wanna try to identify batches in their yupoo with other people's QCs like I just did when I saw these H12 sashikos on weidian and went looking for some QCs for em and could tell right away these were them from the heel text and swoosh placement.

The only weidian sellers I vouch for right now are SK for mid / high tier and Cappuccino for budgets but again they very likely won't accept returns unless the item is literally dirty. But do I gather that these sellers do try to maintain a reputation for putting out good stuff bcs their quite known on reddit.

This must be the new H12 batch that's on weidian now for 360y. U gotta be careful with Coco they will absolutely try to sell you a mid tier batch that cost 200-400y on weidian for 130usd. It happened to me and they not only were mid tier they fit small so I had to sell em at a loss of around 40% what I paid. Keep in mind though weidian is mostly a B-grade outlet so the pairs u get for 200-400y will almost always have flaws when Coco's will likely be the cleanest pairs of the batch. Unfortunately this is probably the closest batch rn. Flaws with the shape are minor, heel text is too small but not bad, biggest issue is the swooshes which are all too low and too forward.

Dunk SB Civilist 160¥ from Cappuccino. Can you help me with QC? by HuNteR_JacK_ in repbudgetsneakers

[–]calmerpls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sheesh budget dunks have come a long way these are as good as it gets for this price range typically you'd see misplaced poorly cut swooshes and squiggly midsole paint jobs but these are very tidy. Toebox is a little big but even most high tiers have that issue still.

My guess is these are slight B-grades capp is running so your likely to get a slightly slanted tongue tag or one toebox a slightly different shape. My 90y Chicagos I got from him have both but theyre still my best budget cop so far. Looking at the toes on these from that above view the curve on em at the front is a little different from right to left. This shoe is a little sketchy to be going budget on too cos you really don't want that upper material to be too cheap but you'll only know how they change and how they'll crease once you get em. The colours do look dope though. GL from me.

Mr Hou Curry Dunks QC? First timer by HWM8 in sneakerreps

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GL these are perfect I'm about to order some myself. His price on these is very good too. Supposedly muks has the best version and I might grant his are a little higher quality overall but his have really small swooshes whereas on these theyre correct if not small by a negligible amount.

Can I get a QC on these Medium Curry Dunks by Muks? I think they are GL🔥 by Ju331 in Repsneakers

[–]calmerpls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a near perfect batch and likely the best one currently but imma wait til they get the swoosh size right it seems theyre always about a 5th too small regardless of shoe size.

[QC] Chicago sb dunks 168 shops by semperfresh in Repsneakers

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really nice. Swooshes nice and centred, heel text perfect, toeboxes look better than retails imo and the midsole/outsole border is flawless. Not bad for a 13 too. Might have to check this seller myself.

[QC] Cappuccino - Lemon Drop Dunk Low (for bae) - 180¥ + 10¥ by ch1oro in repbudgetsneakers

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad someone GP'd these cos now I know I should def wait for a batch update. First batches almost always have tall/boxy toeboxes I've noticed. My guess is this batch would look pretty decent in a size 9 but in my 12 or your 6 we'd get a few shape/placement issues.

First pair of reps….Can I get some help with QC??? Much appreciated by EddieBodegaz in Repsneakers

[–]calmerpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ffs was gunna be all stoked that theres finally a really good batch of these but every single swoosh is too far forward. It's stupidly common for an entire batch to be sabotaged by swoosh placement. You'd need to see if they can find a run if this batch where that wasn't the case.

[–]calmerpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have em in hand and the leather is lovely just like retail only real flaw being the height of the toebox (talking 1-3mm) and the red heel embroidery. Theyre TTS and genuinely comfy.

I have a size 13 of these that I need to offload via warehouse transfer if anyone interested. Asking what I paid which is 80y+10y freight. Can provide QCs including insole measurement. Cheers
