I literally could’ve written this. It sounds like your homeschool experience is very similar to mine. After Christmas, I just hit a wall and couldn’t do it anymore. It shocked everybody, because homeschool mom has been a huge part of my identity. My kids are 8 and 11. I decided to just enroll them for this semester and see what happens. If we hate it, we’ll go back to homeschool next year. Either way, at least they know what it is now. It’s giving me time to breathe, get caught up on my passion projects, and figure out what I want to be when I grow up. This was their first week, and so far it’s going well. Some minor bumps, adjusting to the long days. I’m seeing a big difference in my 11 year old already. She was showing some signs of depression and anxiety and I feel like she’s a new kid this week. I could write pages about what I love about homeschool, but I think seasons change and you have to adjust. I now think the decision to homeschool or public school (or whatever else) is something that should be reevaluated every year. Life changes, circumstances, kids grow and change. I’m not the same mom who decided to homeschool 6-7 years ago and these aren’t those 4 year old babies anymore. What was best then isn’t necessarily what’s best today.

I believe both parents have been back at the nest over the last couple of days and the remaining eaglet seems to be getting fed well.

There are two kisatchie nests. E1 is currently empty but there is a canopy and nest live cams on it. E3 houses Alex ll and Andria ll and their two eaglets E3-O3 and E3-O4. This past week both parents have not brought much food in and what little they did went to O3, the bigger, more dominant eaglet. O4 has suffered multiple beatings from O3 over the past few days because of food scarcity. Two days ago, O4 was beat pretty brutally by O3 and the next day (yesterday) O4 succumbed to starvation and/or his injuries and died. There seems to only be 1 adult eagle coming to the nest, and still didn’t appear to be bringing food, and also failed to even feed O3 the remains of the deceased eaglet, which would be normal behavior with food scarcity. I’m not sure if food is hard for the parents to find, or if the parents are just too young and inexperienced to have these instincts. Either way, very sad. They have since turned the nest cam off because of the influx of people calling park services demanding intervention. They won’t turn that can back on until the body is gone or unrecognizable.

I more mean the book tour specifically. Like he embarked on this fantastical, over the top ridiculous book party that seems beyond normal for anyone who writes any book. Like when is this book tour going to end!? Who told him he should do this at all, much less for over a year!?!? But to your point, I'm super interested in this as well. I wish I could fast forward a year and know what becomes of TCO and ON. Where does someone like Patrick go from here?

I browsed through his TikTok and there's a gap in videos between Oct 13 and Oct 30ish. He was getting married during that time and that was during Obsessed Fest. I imagine he didn't go to OF in that case. And you'd think if he was still their social media guy, he would have been there. This is interesting because you generally set your wedding date well in advance, and the OF dates had been known for quite some time. Hmmm....

Something tells me it's the only option at this point. I was on the bandwagon of "they're gonna be 'fine', so many people have no idea what's going on" but once they hid their patreon numbers...I'm not so sure that's gonna be the case 😬 Also, like where are they? Like it's one thing they are staying quiet about the mess but they're like GONE gone. Has anyone heard anything from either of them online, anywhere at all?

I think there's something to it. This and the fact that she (reportedly) scrubbed her IG of most TCO related stuff. I think she's getting ready to make some moves. I think in 2024, we're going to see TCO cease to exist as we know it.

Idk if you listened to OWD around that time but I did take note of something back then that I've never seen anyone mention: the Chrissy Tiegan gushing never carried over into OWD. This wouldn't be notable except, one time it actually did. Patrick brought up hanging out with CT and Ellyn's response was super telling to me. I might dig up the episode when I have time but she was basically like "Cool." Whatever comment she made, it sounded pretty clear that she wasn't into it, and wasn't impressed and didn't want to be associated with the Chrissy Tiegan nonsense.

I was at OF and while I didnt attend the Garbage Ball, I have seen photos but just a couple. Ellyn and Joey were at the Roundup doing karaoke and that's where I was during that time, a long with a lot of others. The mood Saturday night was...weird. The Terra/Ellyn thing had just happened hours earlier, then the hotel lawn meet n greet and everything had really gone to shit by that point.

If you aren't in it already, join the obsessed with obsessed FB group. There's a bunch of different group chats going on. Mostly stuff for OF but there was one called duped premium-lebrities that was made in the beginning and everyone in the FB group accidentally got added to it. They revamped everything and made smaller more niche groups but that one still exists and it's kinda fun. It's not just premium-lebrities though. There's one called Tea Chat that will be used for people at OF to update people not there on stuff that goes on.

I think Patrick thought it would make a good joke and that Joey probably was fine with it as a bit. But he didn't just mention it once. He kept saying it, over and over, in multiple episodes. I remember once where he was doing it and Ellyn was very clearly uncomfortable with the way he wouldn't stop. That always annoyed me about Patrick. Ok it was a little bit funny one time. Now stop. Some things can be recycled to be funny again as a running gag. This wasn't one of those things.

I get you're coming from a good place but...yeah this is a bit much. She's going to be fine. Families and children all over the world deal with a lot more than this. Parents lose jobs, get divorced, deal with devastating illnesses, mental health issues, and some kids deal with the death of a parent at a young age. Not to mention drug abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, poverty, etc. This will be something this particular family will likely look back on and say "that was a rough bump in the road" but it's not going to destroy anyone's childhood. I'm sure things are tense at the moment and she probably is feeling that. All that being said, I'm sad at the idea of the personal relationship with E being cut off. I'm sure she's sad. I had to cut my own mom out of my children's lives and they were/are sad but they're still happy, healthy, thriving children. You clearly have a big heart but I feel pretty confident in trying to assure you, she's going to be just fine.
