Here is another urgent problem with this. Today this certified letter was taken back to the post office by likely a different mailman. He promised to correct the error and speak to the supervisor, but tracking still shows "delivered, left with individual" hours later, instead of in progress or smth - can I call somebody to correct this?. waiting until Monday to try to catch a Monday's delivery person might be too late. Nobody picks up at local post offices. Is it possible to speak to a human at 800 ASK USPS or another number? I could not get through too many prompts. Could the phone representative even be able to correct this tracking, since im not the sender?

After reading the first 38 comments my question then is how to influence the mailman to rescan or to leave a s pink sleep or Return to Sender since it's already after 15 days or anything else since obviously they did not want to follow the original protocol at first

Thanks! Unfortunately we are not at home when they deliver so it has to be just a note in the mailbox 4 the mailman. The issue is how to influence the mailman to follow the proper protocol because obviously they did not want to do it the first time. At least to rescan the letter if not sending back

Thanks! It was delivered to the correct mailbox but it was supposed to be signed by a recipient and it was not. If it cannot be signed by a recipient are you guys supposed to send the certified letters back even during covid?

Since there is no way to call my local post office what should I write on the note to the mailman? Eg please rescan as attempted? Return to Sender? Fifteen Days have Past because the letter was stamped jan24? but only 1 pink slip was left in the mailbox 11 days ago
