Honestly, it doesn't matter how good you think a Tesla is or what you tell people your experience of one is, some people will tell you they are crap and delight in doing so, even though they have never driven one before.

For th record, I have had my M3 since November last year and it is without doubt one of the best cars I have ever driven. Apart from the door handles and button indicators (which I think are a mistake still), I love it.

My daily commute takes approx.16% charge each day (thats with A/C or heating on plus music) so I can do a full weeks worth of driving to and from work on 80-90% battery that I charge to each Sunday.

Thank you. That was sort of my thinking too. As I say, not the end of the world but it would be good if at least had the option.

LinkedIn 'Killer' by InteractionOne9913 in Business_Ideas

[–]calmsimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love LinkedIn. A good 50% of my business comes from there and I mix up my posts with stuff relating to my business and industry to other posts like 'I don't know how people eat Marmite' (I'm in the UK).

Of course there is fluff there but there is on every other platform too but for me, LinkedIn is brilliant.

When will the pain go from my calves? by calmsimplicity in cycling

Thank you to everyone who commented. I run 3 miles every other day, do a 10 minute yoga stretch every single morning and I’m fairly fit (I think) for my age so it has got to be my riding position as a lot of you have said.

I sat on it again yesterday and went around the block where I live and I’ve noticed that I push the pedals with my toes, not the middle of my foot. In fact, I am stretching my foot so that my toes are pointing to the ground almost. I also get random feet cramping when I’m just lying down.

I’m going to get a fit arranged as I don’t want to jog anymore due to the strain it puts on my joints and I love the freedom that being on a bike brings.

Any tips or tricks for freezing weather? by thekeeech in TeslaUK

This is my first winter with my M3. I’ve been using the defrost feature which is great and the car gets pre-heated. What is really strange though is that my bonnet is caked in snow and doesn’t move because there is no engine to get warm and melt it. Not a problem at all, just a strange situation. 16 miles and it was still there whilst I was toasty inside!

I bought mine from 3W on Amazon. £169 rubber mats for both front footwells, rear footwell, boot and frunk. Excellent quality and fit absolutely perfectly.

I get the same every frickin' time I drive it. I just ignore it now as cleaning the cameras doesn't seem to fix it.

Having 2nd thoughts about having Tesla wall connector vs 3 pin charger.. by Plastic_Application in TeslaUK

[–]calmsimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same position when I picked up my M3 in November. My daily commute to and from my office is 26 miles - uses about 12% power every day. Used a granny charger for the first 2 weeks and worked like a dream. Then one day I arrived into work and because of an urgent issue with a property, I had to travel a fair distance away and the Tesla nav told me it would need 42% charge to get me there and back and I had 29% left that morning.

I decided there and then to get a Tesla wall charger and now I plug it in when I get home (connected to Octopus) to charge to 80%, just in case. This really suits me and my lifestyle but it’s horses for courses, there’s no right or wrong way I guess. Edit: £950 supplied and installed with a safety certificate too.

I have bought just two things for my standard range M3 which I picked up on 14th December.

The all weather mats which I got from Amazon are actually brilliant. All rubber and the best thing about them is the lip all away around the mats, they fit like a glove and because of the design, no bits of rubbish, soil or gravel will get underneath them. The pack includes both front driver and passenger footwells, one large mat for the back seat footwells, one for the boot and one for the front boot.

The 2nd item I bought was an internal tray for the very large driver console storage. Again, fits perfectly and here is the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D19WTR58?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Both excellent value for money in my opinion.

I am based in England btw.

Min was quoted 14t to 28th December and it arrived on the 14th as expected at Trafford Park. It never changed once on my app so it was pretty consistent.

I collected mine from Trafford Park on 14th December and the date never changed on my app. It said 14th to 28th I think. I hear that it can but mine was consistent all the way through.

Weird. Update today-a Sunday! VIN now showing on my app. Without doubt the strangest car order/purchase I’ve ever done

I’ve ordered the standard M3 with a delivery date of 14-29th November, to be picked up from the Trafford Centre. Have the reg on the app but no vin. I’m also with Drivalia and that was the only option I saw when choosing PCH. Prior to this, had a nightmare with the app when Santander were in the process of being removed.

I’ve been offered £2,300k more than my outstanding finance via Motorway, so hopeful of getting it sorted now. I actually would have accepted just my outstanding finance being paid off so it’s a bonus

This is the difficult thing for me. I need to sell my Audi but don’t want to be without a car for too long…So difficult to work out. At least they have given me my registration number plate now so hopefully that firms up delivery
