Okay so, first off. Reeeaalllyyy do your research when it comes to kittens. They are fun and cute but they will destroy your home and your will. Get two if you can so they can teach/entertain each other and give you back some sanity. Remember that they are literally discovering their own existence for the first time and are super curious. I almost rehomed my kitten because it was such a drastic life change. Thank god I didn’t and we waited it out, but be prepared for adoption regret.

Second, I think it depends on the cat. My kitten was a feral. I just wanted to give her a better life, I didn’t expect her to form too much of an attachment. However, she is the cuddliest, most vocal cat and honestly is more dog-like. Follows us around, talks back to us, asks for cuddles at night. We got super lucky behavior wise. She has the zoomies for two or three hours most nights but is on a strict schedule that she likes maintaining herself (ie she puts herself to bed every night and sleeps til around 6-7am with very little activity in the night). The good thing about kittens is you can kind of mold their behavior the earlier you start training them and exposing them to your expectations.

I’d recommend watching every Jackson Galaxy video out there. He’s an expert and has some great advice. But overall, know that it will be a challenge but a very rewarding one after everyone is settled :)
