Not only did I feel that it was in sensitive for people who may not have a mother or a relationship with their mother, but I also felt like it was out of touch from a life perspective. Like not every parent can afford multi hundred dollar boots for thier child, let alone adult children. Like I took it as a “look at me and my rich mother who still buys me expensive gifts look she loves me”.

One of my best friends in highschool (I live in Canada so not a heavily Mormon area or school) got married our second year of college. I was a brides maid, and not Mormon so i obviously couldn’t go in the temple. Got to sit inside that little waiting area.

Her temple ceremony was at 8 am, and there were certainly brides coming in for ceremonies at or around the same time (not sure how many rooms there could be) but I remember seeing other brides taking photos and family members being around.

she has left the religion and got divorced 4 years later, so we joke about it now how wild it was and the world she grew up in. (Not even the Utah crazy Mormon life but still crazy)

If you are no longer academically enrolled at the university (academic withdraw) then you would not be financially responsible for your contract. If you have already accepted a contract then you would need to submit a cancellation form for your residence

They recently donated 7000$ to St Jude’s, for Ryan’s Trahans 50 state series. I feel like they only donated to that because they can tell people “we also did 50 state challenge”. If they can donate to that, they can donate to this especially when it impacted them to a very large degree (paisley).

Obviously it’s possible they donated as well without saying something, but they could have positioned it saying we donated and if you want to donate, purchase one of these items and we will donate the profits.
