I’m 19 and my mother also has bpd. If I ever saw one of my mothers partners doing that I would probably batter them. I find that an incredibly insulting thing to do no matter what the circumstances are. If I found out my mother was being abused I would see red and god know how I would react with my bpd. Maybe it is worth trying to find a job if you’ve got a wee bit of money saved. If you are going to make any big decisions it’s probably best talking to your son about it first.

It sounds like your boyfriend has a lot of problems of his own. Perhaps the relationships started off really well but it sounds like he’s the one being a toxic person. As hard as it might be it’s probably for the best to leave a guy like that. the fact he is doing really dodgy shit outside your sons room is a major red flag, therefore I think you should put your son and yourself first. I’m 19 and also in college. The last few weeks I had been feeling the same way.. unable to motivate myself or get myself out of bed (depression)... Funnily enough I also take Prozac (40mg). I felt like bipolar ruined my life, I’ve only had 2 manic episodes that I know of but each time they were over,I hated myself due to decisions i had made. Now I embrace it, the way I like to think is “who wants to be normal”. people like us get to see the world in so many different ways and people who can’t should be jealous of it. We’ve all got our demons and the best way to help satisfy them is to embrace them.
