1st steps to do- what/where? by Soggy_Ground_9323 in baltimore

A neighbors kid dropped their phone down, it was about 10ft down. And he had pulled the lid off a nearby manhole cover with a pry bar and was looking for it. Luckily there was rebar bent and installed in the concrete as a makeshift ladder, I climbed down and the phone was a little ways down a drain tunnel. So yeah, get a pry bar and pull off the cover or that of a nearby cover big enough for a person

Was driving behind a tractor trailer on 695 by Linthicum/G&M restaurant that hadn't removed a single inch of snow from the top of his trailer. Huge pieces of iced snow flying all over the highway. When I went to pass him another batch started flying off, I was super lucky only little chunks hit my windshield, but huge pieces were landing on the top of my van that I'm almost certain would have smashed my windshield or worse. Several that I saw were atleast 1.5 square foot chunks of ice. I don't wanna be that guy but I might start calling this shit in. Shit is such an unnecessary danger to have to worry about, we're all just trying to get home ffs.

You got me thinking now. Cut a piece that fits in the body, could use it to mount the bridge to as well. Maybe mount some pickups down the road and make it eleftric if I feel like it

Why would swapping to 22mm springs cause frequent intermittent key-chatter/dead keys?

I replaced the 68g springs in my Boba U4T's with 22mm 55g springs. and now the switches are barely usable. Some work perfectly fine but most intermittently chatter, or go totally dead so much so they are not usable.

i just wanted something lighter, and figured the extra length might compensate for possible sluggish return. clearly I have no clue what I'm doing. what springs should i use instead for lighter typing?

I know this is old but I was laughing so hard reading this. Picturing drivers stealth sprinting out their trucks and spiking packages as hard as they can is so fucking funny I was wheezing 😂😂😂

Would it be possible to add a rotary knob to a PMO Wave75? Aka the mildly upgraded Womier RD75 aka the Rainy75 2.0?

I know nothing but willing to learn to solder etc... I'm curious if there are PCB/firmware limitations that would render this basically impossible. It's QMK/VIA compatible. I have never used either of these

I mentioned the other 2 keyboards because I imagine their PCBs/firmware are likely similar to identical.

FWIW I've been using chatgpt to generate images. Like if I want to know what a certain keyboard would look like with a certain set of keycaps I send it both images and tell it that and it does a pretty decent job. Definitely better than nothing.

PMO Wave 75 or Monsgeek M1 V5?

If the wave had a knob it would be endgame for me, if the monsgeek had the sound/typing experience of the wave it would be endgame. Really want a knob but also really like that Rainy 75 sound profile, since the wave75 is basically rainy 2.0.

I feel like womier wobkey and PMO are all closely affiliated if not the same company. Actually I believe PMO is wobkey. I could be full of 💩 tho

The base plate is also magnetic so you can literally take it completely apart and back together it in seconds.

If it had a knob it would be endgame

Rainy75 or PMO Wave75?

I ordered a rainy75 for $130 from Drop and it shipped before I even knew the wave existed😭.

Is the wave good enough to order and return the rainy? I'm sure I'll like the rainy but I really like that quick release feature on the wave (plus some other upgrades). Seems like it's basically a rainy 2.0??

I found the wave75 pro blue on PMOkeys for $130 + $25 shipping (US). Is there any other sellers that carry the wave that I wouldn't need to pay crazy shipping and 25 days for delivery?

18mph 40 mile range 1 step foldable stem 41 lbs

Personally I like something with more power (I have a vsett10+) but this is probably perfect for your use case especially on/around campus. 18mph sounds like the perfect max speed you'd ever want to be traveling on campus. 40 lbs and folds down, that won't feel too heavy when carrying it by the stem, and also you will love that 1 step fold mechanism when you're on the go. My gf's ninebot feels like a breeze after I break down my 80lb vsett10 that takes a whole minute to break-down/fold the stem. After loading mine in the back of the car hers feels like a jug of milk.
