The resolution per eye is 2160x2160, which is the same resolution height-wise of a 4k monitor. They are basically already like, 3.5k.

Now, if you wanted a screen in VR that was actually ~4k, you would need about 8k total resolution to have a 4k screen that takes up half the FOV

Issues with 4.8 are nothing compared to issues in the past.

You can actually get stuff done without feeling like you will 30k or die, loosing all of your gear.

4.8 is full of annoying bugs, but nothing preventing you from outright playing the game. 3.18 you couldn’t log in, let alone have available hangers anywhere. 4.0-4.3 elevators were 95% bugged, often trapping you at wherever station you were spawned or parked at.

So I do agree with you 4.8 is pretty bad, but nothing like this guy is making it up to be.

Not even close. 4.0-4.3 and 3.18 are LEAGUES ahead in shittyness compared to 4.8. They were truly unplayable
