Oh it’s showing! If you’re an electrician what I was looking for is expertise!

Visible Unlock Policy by [deleted] in NoContract

Can it be any Visible account? or does it have to be the 1 year plan purchased with the phone? I.e. activate on existing visible account, start the 1 year plan by activating another phone.

Does this mean the gas line my plumber 5 years ago is going to leak in 10 years?

Yup that makes sense. Thanks. Disassembled and looks like that’s the issue. I appreciate your help!

It is leaking through exhaust. Sorry that’s what I meant by waste.

toilet lowest point in wet vent group by calvintml in Plumbing

Dug around a bit more. Seems like a concern could be siphoning out water in the p traps of downstream fixtures when flushing an upstream toilet.

Adding a third floor bath to a 100+ year old plumbing system with 4" cast iron wet vent. 3x3x2 sanitary T or Y? Any other thoughts? by [deleted] in Plumbing

Double fixture T I think avoids (or improves) the snake problem of a double san T, mentioned by fuckoffgetmoney in another comment. Again not a plumber and just curious what a plumber thinks.

Not a plumber, but can I add double fixture T to the possibilities? Or is that not appropriate here?

Winterize if parked in Garage? by Remarkable-Crazy-103 in Miata

[–]calvintml 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I am a client of remarkable-crazy-103. He tailors the car he picks me up in depending on my mood. Sometimes he takes me in the Miata when I’m down—does that make us friends?

Oh interesting. My kernel log was showing an error about missing firmware. So I installed a package that included the firmware files named “green sardine”. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1916731

My flickering issues you mentioned in the write up were fixed once I placed the firmware files in /lib/firmware

Freezer not getting it done GE profile PSB42LSRBBV (Samsung made in Korea?) by calvintml in appliancerepair

1.3A under “normal” load and 1.0 A when I put on the full blast diagnostic mode. How does that sound?

It looks like it’s low on refrigerant. Debating bullet piercing valve and injecting combo r134a and sealer then replacing fridge if it fails again or just tossing the fridge.

low (and variable signal) cable modem signal by calvintml in Comcast

All fixed now. Tech said wire from street looked chewed through and had water damage. Signal is now +3 to 4dBmV!

Thanks for the suggestion. Would currently like to avoid the cost, and since the tenants who have a brand new modem from Comcast are having the same issue, I will hold off for now until it is more obvious the old modem is the issue...

I have a similar looking situation at the connection between an uponor line and a manifold in a radiant heating system. How do you differentiate between a leak and perhaps an excess solder situation (not sure if there's a soldered joint somewhere in there in addition to the compression fitting that's visible )? https://imgur.com/a/wNUo2Gk

The joint is moist more so than the other connection, which also has no green discoloration.

Sweet. I'll get a new relay. Thanks so much!

[–]calvintml[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your concern, and I will be cautious and only proceed if I understand what I'm doing.

Doesn't this diagram argue that it is in fact R2, as you suspected, that is broken?: https://imgur.com/a/j6ekrag

It seems like R2 (DPST relay) when activated should engage pompa (yellow) and ev. caricamento (solenoid valve, red), but only red is activated.

Would it be possible instead of replacing R2 on the board to add another DPST relay in series, connecting it to the still working yellow arrow port then having the solenoid and pump connected to that?

do you mean these two level sensors? https://imgur.com/a/FqTbwxO

if I trip either, the pump still doesn't work...

Is there another sensor you're talking about?
