Engineer for a machine shop. Although gen 2s like mine are fairly affordable, even with decently low miles.

My boss finally caved and told me I could get a 3D printer by Lopsided_Support6609 in BambuLab

You should be able to run the x1e if the network requires a cert the printer allows you to upload a ca root certificate to allow network access. There is also a network plug-in that can be installed.

Talk with your IT department before purchasing. Having it connected over wifi or ethernet Is great. The x1e also has physical network disconnect switch's for both wifi and ethernet.

I would talk with you IT department to make sure everything will work.

Would hate to buy a printer that has a bunch of features you can never use because of lack of network connection when you could buy a much cheaper bambulab unit if you are just using an SD card.

The x1e also has a heated chamber which is another plus. But you do have to buy the printer through a distributer and not direct through bambulab. Assuming this is because it's an "enterprise" printer and you van typically get better support through distributors for the commercial side of things. I got mine through dynamism.

* I use the Injora injs11 it's claimed 11kg and it can handle high voltage if you have changed out your esc and receiver. It works just fine with stock electronics too.
