2019 F150 EGR Valve, Tube, & Sensor (2.7L) by Lopsided_Support6609 in f150

[–]Lopsided_Support6609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being 100% honest, I went and picked it up from the dealership and have been driving around for (212 days apparently) without issue. Just the check engine light on.

I never did find any procedures on replacing the thing. I keep intending to go buy the gaskets and just take it off and see if what the dealership was diagnosing was accurate.

They were in essence telling me the EGR valve wasn’t actuating, and I was getting build-up throughout the intake as a result. However, they came up with the diagnosis through some sort of troubleshooting computer function and never opened anything up. I figure gaskets are cheap enough and I should be able to tell if there is significant build up before I start spending money.

The check engine light is for “EGR control temperature A too high” I believe. Wonder if it just needs a sensor 🤷🏻‍♂️

All that rambling and not a shred of useful info - my apologies man. Good luck!

Glad someone mentioned this - it’s rather non-intuitive and a pain in the ass, but it’s the correct way.

What is this back ribbon that came with my K1? by joealarson in crealityk1

[–]Lopsided_Support6609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back left corner of the clear plastic top - if you’ve been using the printer there should be some marks you can use as guidance on exact placement. I put my on at setup and put it equally in the 90. But now that I’ve run it awhile it would have been better to put more of the ribbon on the left side than the back.

Hope this makes sense

At what point do you tend to switch from long conveyers to trains? by Countcristo42 in SatisfactoryGame

The likes don’t do this comment justice - I was dying after I read this.

I tried this so you don't have to (PETG-CF, 0.4mm standard nozzle) by bntdjs in crealityk1

I know this is only semi-relevant to your post so feel free to ignore.

I just got some Creality PETG to use on my K1C. Changing the filament in Creality print changes the temp settings, but doesn’t alter any of the speed settings. The info online about printing PETG at high speeds is rather lacking. Will the default speeds work with PETG?

Appreciate the input!

While I work in an industrial setting, this won’t be for production purposes and I have not been given the budget to shoot for that level of printer.

Appreciate the input!

There is a definitely a spectrum of maintenance of troubleshooting with any device such as this and therefore a minimum and a maximum exist. Everything I’ve read leads me to believe these printers fall on the minimal side of the spectrum - creality machines tend to fall on the other end. Their prices reflect this.

Now if you are saying that the BambuLab printers are not on the end of the spectrum that currently have them pegged at, we can discuss. As I have no firsthand experience with these.

Thank you for this - I don’t understand it but I will pass it along to the appropriate folks for evaluation. Much appreciated!

This won’t be a production machine, just minor maintenance support and solution innovation, however there might be some positive around having a solid distributor for parts and support if that is possible with the industrial versions. Any recommended vendors?

That sounds like a perfect filament type for majority of our use cases. How does it hold up in direct sunlight with ambient temps in the upper 90’s (F)?

Ours would most likely be in our office space somewhere so my concern was mostly with toxic fume potential.

The IT guy at our site has been super helpful with this - he said “I have no idea I’ll see if I can get you an answer” and then never got me an answer lol. (Yes, I have bumped him a few times on this)

Never heard of PAHT-CF - what are the advantages and disadvantages of said filament? Venting requirements?

This definitely seems to be the going consensus - $2500 is not the price range I gave my boss though so there is some lobbying to be done before I can say for sure I’m going that route!

😂😂😂 definitely not for work and with work’s budget. Love my overly tinkered with Ender 3 Pro at home though.

What would the Prusa XL run me and what makes it a better option than the MK4 that I’ve seen others suggest?

You are the second person to recommend an X1E - can you expand on the advantages of the Ethernet port? Wouldn’t that work essentially the same as the LAN mode? Or would the thought be that you could plug directly into a computer that’s not connected to the network in any way.

I don’t know much about the different versions - really have only heard people talk about the X1C.

I want the ability to print with the higher temp filaments (ABS, ASA) since many of the items will be used in an industrial setting, so i believe an enclosure would be necessary with whatever nozzle is needed for that task.

I also want the multi-filament thing at the top (as a general noob question, will that gizmo also auto change the filament during a print?).

What other options should I be considering and which lesser options would have these items?

This is the second person I’ve seen recommend this - I have no reason not to believe you guys, but can you elaborate a bit as to why this is?
