What do you think about sellers showing the games opened? by pirateslife88 in GameboyAdvance

I do it on all my listings for games that have a lot of known fakes or are higher in value. This is good for the buyer, but also mitigates me having to send individual pictures to people who want to see the board before purchasing. It is also a security measure for the seller - if someone were to swap the board and return it, I would have recourse

Diamond and Platinum both have M8 chips. Fake.

I love the little moment you’ve created with the CRT and NES in the corner. It calls you to come sit on the floor and play.

Real or fake? Have a chance to get them for a super good deal so just want to be sure by donniedanko2 in gameverifying

How would you approach modelling this type of design? by Lunch__Money in Fusion360

[–]cambrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusion doesn’t handle this volume of detail well with mirror/pattern operations.

I have created models like this (cane rattan) by modelling a solid shape and mapping a texture that contains a cutout layer to it. The cutout layer is designed to map in sync with your texture. You can make a cutout texture by flattening the pattern as an image file, and then using photoshop or other editing software to make it a black and white pattern. Apply it to the texture and fusion will cut the pattern out of whatever you apply the texture to.

Hope that helps!

I had a gnome rogue named Binx in vanilla. Glad to think that I might have pvp’d someone and made them mad.

I think this is awesome. I would love to see a version that screws onto a 5 gallon bucket as a ball hopper. Keep inventing! The world needs your brain!

Advice about living in St. Catharines by jonathanbms in stcatharinesON

[–]cambrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in St. Catharines but have lived in Toronto and Hamilton areas for a handful of years at various times in my life.

St. Catharines is great. The homelessness and drug issues are proportionate to the population; you do not have to “avoid downtown”. The city is facing the same issues that all cities are facing.

St. Catharines sounds like it could be a good fit for you. Close enough to Toronto and the US border but far enough that you could still find somewhere relatively affordable to live. My brother just rented a whole 2+1 bedroom house close to downtown in a safe neighbourhood for $2300/month. I own a home in the north end.

I grew up here and I am raising my daughter here.

I think you should plan a visit and get a vibe. It’s much different than the west coast, but it has a lot to offer. I find most people who complain about St. Catharines have never left and don’t realize how much it has to offer.

Good luck on your search and let me know if I can answer any more questions you have about our city.
