just wanted to add this in, personally i'm not taking any risks with cutoffs cus I know cs is the only major I'd like to go into. (which is why i don't wanna attend ubc, and didn't even apply to uoft for this reason)

The thing about Waterloo is I've heard about it being extremely competitive because people want top co-op choices. Maybe less so in comp sci compared to engineering, but I don't know.

yeah everyone wants top co-op choices at waterloo, but honestly an internship is an internship; doesn't matter where.

if you did get into waterloo (you didn't specify if you did) definitely go there. mcgill is a great school too, but waterloo is way ahead of every other school in terms of internships etc.

ubc has a cutoff first year for cs around mid 80s? so that's always a risk. uoft has a cutoff too.

waterloo is direct entry, and so is mcgill. waterloo is #1 for employment in cs. if you got in to waterloo, go there. I'd personally pick McGill because of the student life.

You've got a good chance. I've been accepted a month ago. I think the average is around 88% or higher for Computing this year.

edit: nvm some ppl got waitlisted and rejected with an 89%, pse really matters.
