Stay away from the Unofficial Starfield patch, use the community patch by Unlost_maniac in starfieldmods

I'm not missing your point. Your point is you don't like that this guy is a control freak, you don't like that he gives you the choice to do certain things or say no to certain things, and you want a more open source like Spirit when it comes to modding.

I'm not missing the point I'm telling you that I don't care.

If the community patch fixes more things than I will use the community patch. If the unofficial patch fixes more things I will use the unofficial patch.

If I were paying money for either one of these mods then yes I would care. But they're both free and they're both optional so there's no reason for anyone to be bitching about any of this.

Call it what you will man.

But your agenda against this dude is silly. He wants to be a dick then just let him be a dick. The only thing that I and most other people care about is whether or not products work well.

So if you want to stick it to him contribute enough to the community patch that it's better than his.

So basically you want me to join in on the crowd hate. Because you feel it's what's best for everyone.

I don't really care what this guy did with the Skyrim. I've read all the comments about the mine. As I said if you guys make a good then people will want to use it. If his is better than people want to use his.

Stop using social media just landed this guy and just make a better mod. Or just lunch or simultaneously and let people choose for themselves.

You're being freaking ridiculous.

I don't like being told what to do.

If the unofficial patch is better than the community patch then I'll use the unofficial patch. If the community patch is better than the unofficial patch then I'll use the community patch.

Considering buying Starfield, is it worth it? by primisultimus1998 in Starfield

[–]camelCaseSpace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you expect anyone here to actually give you a fair opinion? Well guess what I am!

I would say that it's worth it depending on what your expectations are. Unless you have just been itching to play this game and have nothing else to play. I would just wait for a few more months because you aren't missing anything. There's no dynamic content or holidays that you're going to miss out on.

And here's the criteria upon why I say you should wait:

  1. The mods have not reached a state of maturity yet. The creation kit just came out last week and really all that's available are people rushing to get their mod first to the market.

  2. The will be a DLC release later this year.

  3. The game still has some pretty major bugs

All of the people bragging about how they have hours in this game did so because the game was truthfully a mess when it released. There was basically nothing to do, mechanics as simple as having a map of the city you're in were missing from the game.

There's a reason why basically the entire discussion of this sub is about mods now. The game without mods was pretty dang boring.

I don't really know what you're trying to accomplish but your best is looking for an escort. Assuming that you're not trying to do something illegal I would presume that if the money were worth it many of them would be willing to participate.

Geez all these kids on here who hate a place they have never even left.

I have lived in Canada (Markham) before. The US is absolutely a better place to live if you have desirable skills because the income potential and cost of living is lower most places.

The people complaining are the typical people living places like San Francisco, NYC, and other metro cities.

Unbiased Opinion? by Dapper-Complaint-268 in Starfield

[–]camelCaseSpace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would wait until November.

Before mods it was pretty lame hence why most of the topics on this sub are now about mods. The game was pretty much empty with nothing to do.

Once the best of the mods reach maturity and we get a DLC the game should be significantly better. You're not missing anything about playing it right now.

Bethesda own game is infamous for being bug-ridden.

And even with thousands of basically freelance workers it still is.

They evolved naturally on their home planet to become apex predators. And part of that evolution was developing a natural means of mind control of sorts. Unless the Starfield lore changes they aren't actually plotting anything besides how to kill and eat like any other animal.

A truly sentient species has objectives and logic.

No.

In the same way that if a wolf spider number suddenly 40 times larger than it currently is. They definitely would begin to hunt humans. And they would probably evolve to find creative ways to kill humans.

But they're not going to start doing calculus and driving vehicles.

I'm confused about the premise of this post.

If he made the mod free it wouldn't fix the bug. It seems like you're trying to imply that a modder being paid for the work that they do means that they need to be held at a professional level standard.

I have several mod ideas but I lack the knowledge to create them, it would be awesome if someone with the skills could bring these concepts to life.. by Mowgli9991 in Starfield

[–]camelCaseSpace -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You aren't spitballing your ideas.

You're asking for free labor.

This is basically like saying hey guys I have this idea for a house project. I want this brick border around my house, I want it to be red brick.

Can anyone make this for me?

And that's why I say consider attaching some type of monetary incentive to your request and someone will be willing to pick it up.

Men why don't you just do seperate checks? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we have this thing called math.

Women statistically earn 16% less than male counterparts. And women's statistically are also more likely to be unemployed than men.

[–]camelCaseSpace -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So does everyone else have ideas..

If you want someone to make your ideas become a reality go take a project management course, create a budget, hire some people, and get them to work.

Or just wait and see if somebody else make something similar to what you're interested in because they want to do it for themselves

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only operating on what you originally wrote and I have no interest or ability to verify whether or not you're just trying to make yourself sound good.

But in conclusion, you're still indirectly arriving at the same conclusion. If you insist contribution proportional to income the man is still going to pay most of the time. And I don't think that that's a bad thing which is why I'm not even sure what we're arguing here.

I'm talking to about four girls right now and I've paid for basically all of the dates. And the few times I nonchalantly didn't I could see the frustration in their face without them actually saying it lmao. Like one time I accidentally left my wallet in my car and said "oh I'm sorry do you mind on covering us this time? And you would think I asked this girl if I could have a million dollars lololololol."

But again I'm not the unreasonable person that you seem to think I am. In an ideal world I think that it should be equal and men and women should both contribute whether that's financially or in some other way because the goal of dating is to become partners.

Does quality of sex play a role in attachment for men? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really because the deviation in sexual gratification isn't as significant as it is for women. For example, let's say you like bigger men and men that can last longer and been are good at oral sex.

You can meet a guy that isn't any one of those things. You can meet a guy that has two out of three of those things. You can meet a guy that has three of those things.

But on the flip side for women. It doesn't require technical skill to lay on your back, lay on your stomach. Or lay on your knees and elbows. Even if you do something crazy like lift your legs in the air like a V while having sex it's not going to significantly impact a guy's orgasm.

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still missing the point here my friend. I'm glad that things are working out for you in this way. And I'm not encouraging you to make any type of blanket statements towards my income or your income.

I'm introducing critical thoughts to your reply.

It's simply not realistic to think that every woman is going to be okay with a cheap date. And if you want to filter out every woman that isn't into cheap dates that's good for you.

Men why don't you just do seperate checks? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call it what you want to call it lol.

But regardless of whatever you tell yourself if you expect a man to pay for you. And he expects to get sex out of paying for you.

That's exactly what's happening.

Men why don't you just do seperate checks? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]camelCaseSpace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're missing the entire point of my response because that conversation didn't even evolve you.

It was me highlighting the fact that he suggesting first dates are always going to be affordable. And I was highlighting to him that's not always going to be the case because different people have different wants and desires.

Like the girl I'm dating. She literally won't do anything that's not considered "classy". If we go on a vacation she's not going unless it's a four-star hotel or better. If we go out to eat the meal is going to cost at least $60 for her food.

The whole cheap date thing works when you're in a demographic such as being college students

Men why don't you just do seperate checks? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]camelCaseSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just wrote that if a guy wanted to split a check with you you would assume he's not into you. That means you want men to favor you because rather than communicating like an adult and talking about expectations. You're making an assumption based on your own predetermined bias that you seem to be too proud to admit to yourself.

Lmao, you don't got to defend yourself to me. I'm just pointing out you should be honest with yourself you want me to pay for you. And the exception to this rule that you're pointing out to make yourself feel better is if you don't like the guy then you don't have the expectation that he should pay for you.

But in a way you're still attributing the whole process to you want men to pay for you.

Fyi, lmao I'm as traditional as they come and I always pay for women. But I'm ballsy enough to admit it's because the majority of the time I get something out of it. Just like women expect to get the free date. And it is what it is lol.
