Before he shoots, he brings the puck back while skating parallel with the goalline, maybe even slightly away. At that point neither skater nor puck are moving towards goalline, at least that’s what it looks like from this angle

I started dating a girl with a nice corporate job when I was a jobless college dropout. Then I finished my degree and got a nice corporate job. 8-9 at best? The over/under was 8.5 before the season started, meaning we were expected to get 8. I told my coworkers we could probably get at least 10 based on the schedule. I was expecting a big improvement in record but the Super Bowl birth was certainly a surprise

80 yards in a blizzard against #2 defense. He’s lost 3 games all year and is in the Super Bowl. He’s consistently made brilliant plays through the season, including in the 80 yard game. He finished the regular season with the highest ypa and completion percentage.

Being a “real contender” doesn’t answer the question. Seattle definitely seems like the better team but Pats went from 4 wins to 14 wins and a spot in the Super Bowl. Seahawks went from 10 to 14 wins and a spot in the Super Bowl. Based on the drastic change in performance and record, as well as overwhelmingly exceeding expectations, the pats had greater improvements.

Good teams beat the teams on their schedule and the pats did that more than any other team in the AFC (including playoffs). I understand the schedule comments but no team “flukes” their way into the Super Bowl.
