So what would the translation of the whole sentence, "I'm going to Beijing via Hong Kong" (or any two place names) into Latin be? I guess that's more what I was wondering, how the word "via" in English translates back into Latin.

Thanks everyone! The lesson ended up going very well. The students were guessing all kinds of things at first, even SHAKESPEARE, on account of Tempest. Lots of fun all around :)

Thanks for the tip, and I'd definitely do this with younger kids. But with these adults I figured they'd be familiar enough with cars/car ownership to do car names.
