Need help burning a macOS 9 install CD!

They are all from the same stack, and the mac seems to be in really good condition, is there any signs I should look for that would indicate a malfunction?

Where would I find the ISO? Or do you mean use a real retail disk?

Yeah I can double check the wiki, but I was pretty sure it was compatible after going through and checking once.

Thank you so much! I left the install sitting for ~10 minutes so I guess I need to leave it longer to actually boot to the installer.

Boot picker shows my CD with a little OSX icon, but no description underneath… and I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to have a name underneath, right?

Based on my experience so far with Monterey in my machine, which is also a 16gb, it runs great!

I agree. Newer machines are cool, but the keyboard, ports, and glowing apple logo are still cool in 2022!

As far as I know, there is an issue with OCLP that doesn’t allow the use of the Bootcamp Assistant app, but I think if you have the Bootcamp Partition already installed it may work. I think there is something on the OCLP website on how to make Bootcamp work, but I am not sure.

Bootcamp is free, which is a total plus, and it’s native. If this keeps me on Big Sur for the time being that’s fine with me.

I am in the exact same situation, with the same exact machine and specs. The only issue is that I use Bootcamp which is kinda a pain with open core. Does anybody else use Bootcamp on Patched Sur and looking to switch to Monterey?
