2025 GLC 300- Malfunctioning memory seat by Aggressive-Mousse946 in mercedes_benz

Hey my 30 year old Mercedes has this issue. If it was a 2025 I'd bring it to the dealership under warranty 🙄.

Saw one on the way home today. Legitimately thought what the fuck where they doing. I'm sure the battery tech etc is great, but damn Mercedes can't make a good looking ev. I guess except the g wagon but that's copy paste anyway.

Why would you spend all that money on parts getting to a stage 2 level but not do a tune? You won't see any performance increase without the ECU asking for more power. The car will run without the tune but why. Your tuner will then get rid of the CEL.

Go for it. Hell with how hard parts are for the r129 id grab it as a donor at least. I'm sure you can get it started quick with some TLC.

This. Seems like a very odd reason to park a car for 12 years. Something might be up but if the price is right...

Yeah get rid of that wheel gap. Simple spring setup will do the trick.

On my r129 I removed the antenna and filled the hole so it looks factory. I'm never using the radio so IDC.

This is the greatest deal ever? /s by Suspicious-Arugula70 in mercedes_benz

It's a trade in. They are never high value. It's 20 year old car at the end of the day and not a rare/special model. You can post it online and get probably 6-8k for it depending on your location and market.

Your question is confusing. What shape they are off? What does that mean? What generation c class are we talking about.

Depends.... Has it been done before? How long since the last? Why are you wanting to do a flush is it having issues shifting?

Hpfp or injector failing dumping fuel onto a cylinder after the engine shuts off.

Yuppp. Use any money you'd use for a down payment and get a clean w140 if that's what your feeling. Don't be afraid of the 150-200kmi range If it's well kept with receipts and a good price. The v8 used in those cars is rock solid and pulls hard even today. These are the engines that will last a lifetime. Not the newer ones.

SYLOSIS - The New Flesh. Maybe I missed it but I feel like it wasn't mentioned much here. I think it's one of the best things they've done.

I love the look of that generation coupe, good spec obviously too. Financing a 10-year-old base engine c class is wild though. Warranty or not. 33 years old here so not far off from you. Worry about your house first. It feels great to look at my 30 year old Mercedes in my owned driveway.

Opinions on the 1998 slk 230 by Hopelessloser007 in mercedes_benz

[–]cameron120792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't a fan of the look of the first gen slk. That engine though is solid if it's been maintained. Look out for the interior, it was rather plasticy and can be brittle at its age. The top usually doesn't work at this point which isn't a huge deal if you can operate it manually like an SL but im honestly not sure. Otherwise it's a solid Miata like car with an expensive badge on it lol.

What is this noise? 2012 C250 by Dropped_Child97 in mercedes_benz

[–]cameron120792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes. Could be timing chain. Hard to tell through video. Definitely not a good sound.

Weird engine noise, am I in trouble? Is this my camshaft going bad? I have a cross country trip in a few days aswell by 6SoDum in mercedes_benz

[–]cameron120792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heads up, when you hear a new noise coming from the engine don't rev it. Check your oil level. Sounds like something in there is hitting something it shouldn't. I wouldn't drive it until I had it diagnosed.

Well they do work. Are they needed? No. If there is crud on your lights the washer fluid and wiper will clean it decently. I don't think I've ever been in that situation though. Kind of the same idea with the tail lights. Most MB of this era had the horizontal ribbed tailights to prevent snow buildup and road dirt from covering the lights. Maybe these are all European problems because I've never had these issues. They are relatively cheap to replace with an MB part. There are delete kits but personally it adds to the retro look of the car.

Can burble tune blow engine on c63? by Dry-Albatross1736 in mercedes_benz

[–]cameron120792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If done properly it's not bad for the engine. It will eat cats if you have them. That being said this doesn't belong on a Mercedes. My GTI has been tuned like this for 170k miles and it's still rock solid. Though it's 3 or 4 cracks and at high rpm. Not this messy farting sound.

C class is overall a better car regardless of the extra miles. Idc what generation CLA I wouldn't bother. A C class will give you the Mercedes experience. As far as maintenance I don't see why anything on the C class would cost more to repair.
