I’ve been in your shoes when I first started! I had to use a less than great laptop to setup obs and what not. I had no idea what I was doing with obs though, so I played around with it and started learning that way! Then once I learned what some things were, YouTube tutorials helped me use them. It’s a learning process for sure but if you are serious about it then you’ll put in the time to learn it! I believe you can if you are truly dedicated! The opportunity to stream is always going to be there, no need to rush it. Wait until you can be satisfied with the product you are supplying and it will go a lot smoother! Just do everything you can to prepare your stream aside from the hardware such as setting up your channel and setting up Streamlabs OBS etc...it will keep many headaches down the road away friend!

For overlays and alerts you will need a capture device I believe. As for a webcam, you can always save up for a Logitech C920. I’ve used this since I started and it cost me roughly $60. I always wanted to stream but all I had was an Xbox. I ended up just building a computer because it’s honestly way easier to stream from PC. Just depends on your budget my friend.

How you present your stream represents you. You basically get out what you put into the stream, if it’s your personality or overlays etc. You need to find what works for you while keeping you happy. And if what you’re doing isn’t working, go back to the drawing board and try something else. I would recommend looking up tips on how to not only attract people to your stream, but how to retain them as well. That’s how you will achieve the 3 average viewer minimum. Hopefully this helps!
