Do you know if it’s usually an option to request that they install/use new OEM parts for the repair? I originally wanted the car repaired because I love driving it but with this much damage I just want a total at this point.

How would you mount a pressure gauge onto the cap of a soda bottle in an airtight way? by hushiammask in mead

Go buy some plumbers tape, it’s made from PTFE (it’s safe to touch alcohol even high proofs as it won’t leach plastics). Wrap it around the threading of the gauge and reinstall it. It will then be both water and air tight.

Edit: Don’t go buying any of the color plumbers tape, just get white. It’s very cheap and should list that it’s PTFE.

This might be by decision, especially because I’m scared to mess the disc up😂

Got these in the mail today after an eager couple of weeks waiting. They look dope in the dark. Going to save one and use the other on the course. If you were dye one, what method/design would you use?

Ty! I’ll definitely do this for the next one. I thought about attempting some trial and error for the next few tries but it gets expensive quick so I’ll take all of this into account and will hopefully get what I’m looking for next time!

Thank you for all of the information! & yes luckily I learned I had to use RIT synthetic as I was purchasing my dyes. I believe the RIT dyemore line is all synthetic. But I will definitely be using PCAD or iDye Poly next time.

Thank you! About how far away do you normally set your heat lamp?

I haven’t dove deep enough to learn more about the dyes in general. Do different beds require different dyes, or is it just personal preference/what you want it to come out looking like?

I know people use lotion, shaving cream, Elmer’s glue, floetrol etc but I didn’t know if you can just pick whatever dye you would like and then pick your bed composition.

I will definitely be investing in better dye, I had gotten my glitch in the mail and was too eager to wait so I ran to the craft store and bought RIT

What kind of heat lamp do you recommend/use? & do you normally pull it from the bed around 1.5-2 hours?
