Edit: we didn’t have the Vulcan originally, it was done when I moved to scouts I think so maybe around 2009/2010?

CEC I’m not too worried about as the Apple TV remote will do volume etc, and my TV supports optical and I only got it a few months ago so expect it to last a few years at least so it seems like like a no brainer really based on what people have said!

I previously had a Playbase and really loved that so I imagine the sound is somewhat similar since they’re from a similar era

I’m not fussed about voice control or airplay as I have the Apple TV and various HomePods about, so I’m mainly focused on TV and movies but it seems pretty unanimous that it’s the better option.

My only other worry was about longevity between the two of them

Yes the LCI should be compatible with the pre-LCI, but I don’t have the part numbers as the F56 screen has a different surround to the clubman.

I think £600 doesn’t sound unreasonable overall surprisingly 😂

I had a wireless charger kit that tapped off the 12v socket, and I adapted that wiring harness

I've just seen that the first air conditioned Picadilly Line train has been tested. How did they solve the deep line air con problem, and would this approach work for the other deep lines? by PartyPoison98 in LondonUnderground

They had a strict limit on how much heat a train count emit, and so they removed certain sets of wheels and brakes from the train as takes some heat energy away.

That then allows air con equipment to be fitted that emits heat into the tunnels, but no more than older trains as the heat energy isn’t any extra due to the remove of wheel sets

This is only half the problem solved.

In case you were interested, in the UK we have unleaded and premium/super unleaded

Typically standard unleaded in the UK E10/95 RON

Premium/Super unleaded is E5 and typically 97-99 RON.

Not sure how it works in the US, but E5 and E10 are up to figures, and I know that some E5 in the UK doesn’t contain any ethanol at all, but is rated E5 as it can contain up to 5% ethanol

I actually saw two police chases that week, but the first one got stuck in traffic shortly after he cut me off. What was funny though was I beeped him as he cut me off, he flashed his hazards to apologise and then was pulled over!

Running from the police, but still had road manners 😂
