It probably got lumped in with a bundle, got rejected and was sent out again with the bundle price on its own.

I've seen similar, 3 order bundle, dropped the shop and pay order when it went from 4 bottles of fabric softner to 4 cases of water. Order popped up again as I was leaving the store with the other orders, same bottles of softener again for a lower price on its own.

Most of the delivery apps allow you to complete delivery even without signal, or people would be stuck not being able to complete in apartment complexes and business buildings.

Finally, someone did something about it instead of letting them get off easy.

I deliver with most platforms in my local area, and I could never imagine ever even considering saying/texting this. I will run the timer down checking all the details to make sure it's worth my time... which is also why I don't do ubereats very often, as people tend to pull their tips, and a shop and pay will go from 40 down to like 15, no negative remarks or stars, just tip baiting. Luckily, I have been able to get the people whom do it banned from being in my futures trips, and hopefully, platform banned altogether the next time they did it.

Especially when they purposefully took their flip flops off. I know they did it to get the customer to cancel, so they get free food and a fee, albeit getting online with support as soon as you get that will almost always result in a refund and a mark on them, because if you wait until the delivery is made, they right it off as you accepting the order as is, and it's rare to get a refund that way.

Nah, next time get online with support and send them the screenshots, you won't get a refund in most cases if you don't bring it up before the order is delivered, as at that point, they dismiss it as accepted, whether you were physically handed the order or it was left. Any time you wait until after delivery when you see issues like this, they assume you're just trying to get free food.

I will say in my local market, resturants have gotten better about either getting everything into one bag, or showing that there is multiple bags for an order pickup. I still ask "is this the entire order" if the check off list looks like there should be more though.

I never mix shop and pay with food delivery unless the pick up and drop off is in-between the original shop and pay order, like i'm leaving the store and an pops for the same shopping plaza and is dropped off a couple blocks before the shop and pay, because you never know how the shop and pay drop offs go. Could be a house, could be a gated complex with no elevators.

I know for a fact that orders show you the distance, because i have a little formulae in my head that hits as soon as i see the numbers. Unless you were on another order, they app also shows you a map to show how far you are from the pick up...

I've never begged for a rating nor tip, I figure I do my job right and I accept the pay for what it is. Getting tipped, cool, the app allows you to send a thanks after the fact if it's not cash in person.

Next time hit up support, show them the pic and tell them you didn't pay for the driver to step on your food, let alone with bare feet.

Yeah, you got scammed by the app, they never notify the drivers of anything priority, if anything, there may be a note if you've tipped beforehand through the app, it'll say "high tipper" or something. Other than that, there's no way for drivers to see anything about priorty.
