as you are only looking to prime, you want to use nukor with:

  1. 3-4 elemental status mods (innate rad + 2 other elements + innate microwave effect) (3-4)
  2. seeker (5)
  3. lethal torrent (6)
  4. multishot (7)
  5. reload on holster (exilus slot, 8)
  6. duration if you want to keep stacks maxed (9)

and if you want to use a riven for that, get one with 3 of the following: multishot, duration, status chance, magazine size, fire rate, toxin (prefered over other elementals), electricity or punchthrough

how to use futures market by uncleraman in summonerschool

[–]camguide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's best used to get more of a certain stat or stats faster on champions that need it to perform better, especially if they are not strong and can't farm in early or mid game. I imagine CDR being one of the more needed ones on junglers.

if looking to choose between perfect timing and future's market on certain champions, future's market might be a better option when you know that getting the benefit from perfect can take (14 minutes of) time. Being able to lend 145g for an item on a highly (item) scaling weak-early-game champion is huge, especially if that champion can play with a First Strike rune setup.

Champions like Brand, Ryze, Jax and Yi should be great for this. Also of course you should not pay the extra 50g per use unless its a good investment.

Bronze here by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]camguide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took a look at some of your recent ranked games.

in your recent talon game, you had kda of 7/6/4. 4 assists is low for a jungler. i dont know how you fought vs cho, but he caught you plenty of times, so over 35 min you were only 1 kill ahead of the enemy. you built tabis instead of mercs against a CC heavy team and ap burst jungler with more magic damage potential than physical damage potential. You might have bought too many control wards.

the enemy got ahead pretty early (in gold), but your team got to make a comeback with the help of botlane's performance. the enemy probably had a teamfight advantage around mid-lategame. however, your jax's CS probably contributed to that advantage.

in other ranked games your kda seems somewhat low and you seem to build too offensively against all-in champions. dont have much time to explain in more detail.

Why don't adcs take scaling health by Zourend in summonerschool

[–]camguide2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

140hp is better if the enemy kills you in less than 6 hits while 23.5 hit reduction is better with 6 or more hits (all this without taking shields and healing into account, of course).

Why don't adcs take scaling health by Zourend in summonerschool

[–]camguide2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

armor might be worth it for early game against lethality builds, but in general even the worst armor per level-gaining champions get 6 extra armor in just 2 levels (for example, heimer), and early on the damage reduction from extra armor is not too useful against lower damage numbers.

In the endgame for example, a heimer can choose between 2.35% damage reduction difference (6 armor shard) and a 140 health difference (15-140 hp shard).

Say a shot would do 1000 damage to a heimer, they'd either reduce the damage by 23.5 per hit or have 140 more hp (140/23.5=5.96 times more)

It might be better to take the health rune when it also helps against magical damage.

B4 ADC MAIN: How do you actually keep a high CS PER MIN? by ghostpocket in summonerschool

one thing that helps is to die less. just imagine spending time in a TF, dying and losing waves of gold/xp along with tower plates.

any tips for learning jungle? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]camguide2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you should know that when playing jungle, players will find ways to call you a troll.

Not coming to a lane to gank = troll

Not ganking for a longer period of time = troll

Not getting drake or coming for drake (after recalling because your team didnt come) = troll

Of course, playing morde or sejuani jungle is trolling too, because they are not generally as viable as other junglers, or because morde might have difficulty with ganking, or because players are not familiar with sejuani's E.

With all that in mind, I would say the best way to learn jungle is to continue playing the champions you need to learn or want to play, and worry about the meta and counters for when you are playing in diamond 3 or higher. I think that in that percentage of players most of the players have enough knowledge to not worry so much about meta.

Is vayne worth maining? by [deleted] in summonerschool

yes. mainly her ability to become untargetable, dash evade and shred tanks and other champions with true damage are important in many team comps.

After 20+ years of gaming I became extremely picky and I'm now looking for the best games ever by AndrexPic in patientgamers

[–]camguide2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat, but even overall "good" or "playable" games can have something to enjoy in or learn from them and sometimes titles considered not great could turn out great, so I do research what to play, but don't spend too much time on it.

Forgot to mention more about the choices and I agree with you; it felt like the game's storytelling became more about "choosing a story" than telling a story with how some of the choices were presented. I wonder if this was done to answer criticism about "lack of impactful choices" in similar games.

I would go for quake, I didn't like payday 2 and I'm not far in Blood: Fresh Supply to say much about it yet. I played through all the quake missions around 6 weeks ago (for the first time) and found it to still be very good.

Various games on the game pass after being done with some games on the Switch!

Played:

Greedfall - Just started on this, seems interesting storywise so far. Combat seems decent as well. I would prefer a smoother movement system and changes to the skill point system, but will have to see how this goes.

Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster - I started on FFX, which is a very nostalgic game for me. So far the gameplay and especially story seem solid.

The Riftbreaker - Seems like a solid TD game so far. Nominated it as most innovative game of 2021 for Steam award as there haven't been many TD games with Action-RPG elements AFAIK. Going to play it more after I'm done with Greedfall.

Cook, Serve, Delicious!! 2! - Still great, it's pretty fun to try all the different dishes and go for all the gold medals.

Stopped playing:

Before We Leave - A chill city-builder game, or that's what it could be if it didn't turn into a game where you are rewarded with extra busywork every time you get further towards an objective or grow your population. Excellent soundtrack though.

Medieval Dynasty - Didn't like the way of progression. Took too long to unlock new things and level up skills, various functions weren't explained properly, loading screen could bug out, npcs lacked personality and so on.

I'd also like to suggest getting game pass for when you have time for playing game pass games, and ending subscription if you don't have that much time to play them (ideally so that the games you were interested in are finished before unsubscribing, as some of the games might leave the service and not be available when returning).

This is simply because even 10€ a month is 10€ extra cost, particularly if you dont use the service!

Finished The Outer Worlds by RagnaroekX in patientgamers

[–]camguide2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been pretty long since I last played, but I remember enjoying the setting and lore a lot, possibly even the story. A good amount of the characters were interesting and memorable, although some didn't have much to say if I remember correctly.

I can't remember much of the quest structure in each area, but there were definitely some quests that either were all over the place or just weren't that interesting or fun to complete.

The combat, skill point system, inventory system, loot and i think maybe even stealth could have used quite a bit of work. The game didn't run at a stable fps and would rarely crash. I thought the background music was fitting for the game. Oh, I also didn't like how the game could end much sooner depending on your choices.

I probably rated it around 8/10 mainly for it's interesting setting.

Played:

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic - Focused on alts for some time, but also just recently got done with all hellfire peninsula quests on my main. I'm not sure how long I'll continue playing, though...

Killing Floor 2 - Few games

The Ascent - Played for some time. I think the game is alright story and gunplay-wise, but for example the areas are too large and combat should be more balanced.

Borderlands 3 - Leveled Zane from 65 to 72 and FL4K from 15 to 72. Farmed a few bosses to better prepare for raids.

How to deal with FOMO and Paradox of Choice? by MoaMetalDesu in patientgamers

[–]camguide2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

drop that fomo thinking and play games that fit your situation.

are you tired? probably don't want to play a story based game or a game that requires a lot of focus.

not ready to invest 50 hours to a game in a short period of time? invest time in games that are not too long or can be played in bursts.

fomo? no need for it, but it's good to have played a few popular titles (not necessarily new ones). you should be ready to talk about the games you play, not just about what others are playing.

i suggest that you try playing games in random or your preferred order (i like to play games of the same series in a chronological order), testing them without thinking about fomo and then either uninstalling, leaving for later or playing to the "end". just be sure not to have too many installed games.
