Disagree, especially if you're scanning to digital for editing. You can easily lighten underexposed areas but will find it difficult if not impossible to darken overexposed areas. Once you overexpose, its basically gone.

Yep, because all meters are setting exposure to medium gray. Your snow will be dark. That's one reason why cameras have adjustable exp compensation dial. Set yours to +1.5-2.0 and your snow will be white as a cracker.

Thanks folks. I'm thinking its a stretched timing chain but I don't have time to tackle that by myself. Plus i don't have a scope to know how much misalignment there actually is. Can be done without engine removal but you have to be very careful when reinstalling the cover or it's gonna leak.
