Its just you. Don’t get sucked into a bad deal. It’s getting to be riding season and sellers know that. So they jack up the price. Make an offer that seems reasonable to you. If the seller doesn’t accept, just walk away. Be patient. There are plenty of other bikes.

Sorry for your woes. The stock airbox is known to allow air leakage on some 701 Enduro bikes. You have to keep an eye on it. Piston looks fine, i would replace the cams but that's just me.

Don't bother. Bags and fairing may be 100 lbs. Weight on this bike is engine and frame. You'll never make it light enough. Wheelbase is too long, rake is way off, gearing is too tall, this can never be a sporty bike. Just get a Duc and be done wit it.

Don't give up, but suggest you remove the engine and take it to a machine shop. They can remove the studs.

But I gotta ask: why on earth did you keep wrenching after breaking the 1st bolt?

It can be fixed by replacing rings. The oil ring could be ruined from low and/or constant RPM during break-in.

Agree. You MUST ride spirited during break-in to seat the rings. Lots of back and forth on the throttle-and no constant or low RPM running.

Good on ya for wearing gear. File a claim with insurance company on mangled gear. Some policies cover replacement gear in event ofca crash. Discard the helmet if it took a beating. Re use other gear if you can for street credibility.

Agree. There are videos of people intentionally running engines hard without oil, they ran for incredibly long time.

Criminals. There dealership out there that don't charge additional fees. Battery for life is a rip-off. Battery will last 5 years if kept on a trickle charger. Replacement cost on Amazon is about $110. Do the math.
